Dancing with the stars

The Semi-finals

The final four had to perform three routines this evening. One Ballroom, one Latin and their Knockout dance, a routine they had prepared in case of a duel against other competitors.

Best Ballroom : Mya and Dmitry's Waltz that scored them a 28 just simply stunning.

Best Latin Dance : Mya and Dmitry"s Salsa , Shake your tail feather Mya. Made me think of Josephine Baker.

As for the other competitors Joanna Krupa was strong in both dances , just seems to be holding back a bit still. Donny tried but failed in his Tango and I was not impressed by his other routines. Kelly though not great impressed me with her full hearted attempts ( I couldn't believe how well she kept up in the Quickstep, always thought of her as rather heavy footed.)

The finally three should be the three ladies Mya, Joanna and Kelly. Though Donny's fan base may keep him in there.
 
I too was disapointed in the final three, an all ladies final would have been great.
The musical guest did nothing for me, though I admit I'm looking forward to "9".
 
Yes, should have been an all female finals. I was surprised that Joanna was eliminated. Too bad it's more about popularity than skill. As long as Mya wins, it's all good.
 
I first started watching Dancing with the stars this season because of Aaron Carter and Melissa Joan Hart. when Melissa was booted off it was like it was wrong because Michael Irving definately should not have lasted as long as he did along with Louie Vito.

Aaron was still on and I was growing fonder of Joanna because she was a great dancer. I was so mad Aaron Lost could not believe it. Kelly definately should of left and Aaron should have been in the semi. I still had Joanna though with her Almost Flawless dancing so it was okay.

Now that Joanna is gone I am really upset. She was so much better than Joanna and was only a couple points behind Mya. That is one thing that I don't like that happens on dancing with the stars, if the person has a large fan base then they definately make it farther than they should. which really messes up with the people who can truly dance like Joanna.

Now that my ranting is out of the way. All I can hope for is that Donny wins.

From SQUARE ONE this season has been "Dancing with Donny".......from the day they announced the stars who would be participating WHO was on the stage? DONNY. Who has been plastered across TV screens on ET and every other ABC show you can think off all season? DONNY. WHO has been singled out to be introduced every time as "Showbiz Legend Donny Osmond".......DONNY......who if he one fucking molecule of decency would have put a stop to that. At EVERY critique by the judges WHO can't keep his big mouth SHUT? DONNY. And NOW we are subjected to BOTH Donny and Marie....... ](*,)
If ANYONE should have gone home last night based on ABILITY it SHOULD have been Osmond......but his fan base (for whatever reason) keeps voting for that condescending asshole....... :grrr:

He's even more full of himself than DEREK....... :eek:

final shd have been mya and joanna with a special mention of derek as the best choreographer of all the pros. oh well, next week i can do something fun instead of watch this farce and the 3 drama queens they call judges.:soapbox:

I'm not disappointed Joanna is gone. She is such a fricking bitch.

Mya is the best dancer by a mile. Joanna should have been there instead of Donnie with all the mistakes he made, but I guess those Mormons know how to speed dial and text.

Actually Mark Ballas is the best choreographer on the show. Derek learned his skills from Mark's dad, as did Mark. But they are both great dancers and competitors.
 
Joanna obviously deserved to be in the final three. A blind deaf person would know that she is a much better dancer than either Donny or Kelly. The judges know this. Derek knows this. All the other dancers know this. Heck, even Donny and Kelly know it.

Maya should win. But I will not be shocked that Donny wins this popularity contest.
 
The Finals

The three finalist had to perform three dances this evening one standard, a mega-mix group dance and their Freestyle.

In the individual routines Kelly and Louis started the night off with an Argentine Tango that I found good, she has come along way in especially her confidence, scoring a respectable 26. Second came Mya & Dmitry with a solid Paso Doble, that earned them a 30. Then came Donny and Kelly with a Cha Cha Cha that earned them a 27, a score that I felt was adequate just as the dance was.

The Mega-mix was scored by placing the dancers first, second and third. It was a mix of three dances(the Viennese Waltz, the Samba and the Jive) performed side by side. Mya came in first, she was a stand out esp. with the Samba and Jive. Donny in second, respectable. And Kelly in third, she seemed to lose her steppig after a wardrobe malfunction and just always seemed a step behind.

The Freestyle I must say that none of the dancers were really all that exciting. Kelly tried, but really showed she was out of her leaaufge. Mya came an performed a mediore dance that I really blame on Dmitry, the choreography was mundane at best. Donny came a Broadway insiperd number, that I felt did not cotaine Ballroom dancing. Disappointed all around.

My queation to leave off with is did Mya, and again I blame Dmitry, hand the Mirrorball trophy to Donny?
 
Good gawd, three 10s for that Broadway fizz from Donnie. That was as kiss ass as anything I have ever seen from this pathetic show.
 
SLDO (showbiz legend Donny Osmond) has a fan base so rabid in their voting they'd vote for Osmond even if he didn't show up...... :grrr:
It's so sicking.......and unfair to those who really ARE deserving....... :(

IF SLDO wins, and judging from the comment board at the DWTS website it seems he WILL, this program may as well fold NOW.......last season.......unless viewer voting is done away with.

The Results

I know a lot of people are upset with Donny winning the Mirrorball Trophy, but as I said after the final Freestyle dances Mya (and again I blame it on Dmitry) just didn't deliver. I do like Donny, did't vote for him, but his legions of fans (middle aged women, who seem to be the largest part of the viewing audience) just showed their force.

Thanks to everyone participated in this thread over the weeks, and added an extra layer of fun to watching the competition. And also want to thank all the stars who brightened my Monday and Tuesday nights.:=D::=D::=D:
 
I am disappointed that Donnie won. I think Mya is more deserving of the trophy since she dominated the show.

I agree with some of the other postings, Dmitry could have done a better job choreographing Mya's performancecs. However, this is only his second season on the show.
 
Maya really should have won, this to me is right up there with Sabrina being knocked off prematurely years ago.Donnie wasn't even in the top 2 of superior dancers that other dancer being Joanna Krupa cute Dereks partner. It is just annoying as a fan to watch all season and have it come down to this though I do understand this show is about skill AND popularity to give Donny his due he is a great showman,just not close to being the best dancer.
 
I think what put Donnie over the top of Mya was that All the dancers were on an even playing field with no past dances being taken into the account for the judging. Mya did great in her first dance in which donnie was very close behind her. Mya lost it in the Freestyle and Donnie capitialized on that. Then on the final dance that took part on the final night, encore dance. Mya was not her best and Donnie outshined her again. Mya fell apart at the end where it counted the most and Donnie danced the best when it counted most. I'm not saying that Donnie did not have his times where he danced bad because he did. He just did not dance his worst when it mattered the most.

I still think that Joanna and Derek should have won but Donnie did deserve to win. According to my thinking.
