Gay Porn Star In Dante's Cove

I was just looking at the new Celebrity Top 10 and spotted gay porn star Brad Benton (under a different name) and it seems he's now starring in Dante's Cove. Although I don't think he's conventionally handsome I've always found him really sexy and he seemed to be one of the few gay porn stars who could act (see Wet Palms).

LOL! I didn't really care for the 'clearance' they did of so many of the actors in Season 1, replacing them w/an entirely different supporting cast.

If they should have gotten rid of anyone, it's Ms. Nadine "I-Can't-Act-For-My-Life" Heiman.

I wish they'd kept the guy who played Adam. I guess he wasn't ready for the obvious leap they were going to head him into w/gay love/sex scenes...

I wish they kept the first Adam too. It felt weird watching that new guy take over the role. He's is nice to look at like the first one though...| I guess they couldn't get everyone back after the first season. The show was originally supposed to be a mini series but Here decided to continue it as a series because it got popular very quickly.

I was suprised to see him in a clip with Jacob Slater on the show. I heard there are some other porn stars that have gotten small roles on the show this season. As for Brad I read that he is an actor but ended up doing porn.

Maybe with more porn stars, the show would be more daring with its nude and sex scenes. One could only pray. I know I am.

I was hoping to see a more steamy opening episode of season 2, but I was kinda let down. But still, the actors are good to look at.

so what is this show about? don't think its available on canadian tv. is it any good.. Amazon has it on my recommendation list the complete 1st season as well as Noah's Arc 1st season. are they buying?

I haven't seen it myself but it seems to be a gay supernatural drama (with terrible acting).

Especially when they redid the scene for the 'previously'-recap bitty w/him as Adam... like we can't just go back to season one see a different actor in that scene? [-X

Dante's Cove is a cheesy soap with alot of skin but fun to watch. Like its promo says, it is a "guilty pleasure". As for Noah's Arc it looks like an alright show. If u go and search for it on you tube you should be able to find some episodes as well as clips for Dante's.

I actually think the first one is somewhat hotter, better built, and better looking.

Dante's Cove - Anyone watch it?

From what ive seen on youtube this looks like a very interesting(read erotic) series. From what I gather its a short run series like the UK style, 5-6 episodes per season. Something about a haunted/possessed lighthouse with a witch hanging around or something like that?

Not to mention the rather daring gay sex scenes:p

I will probably go and rent it out soon, although the lesbian scenes may turn me off:eek:

I bought both DVDs from Amazon - they have a special if you buy both, and so it was very affordable. I started watching it with my brother, but I think it was a bit too explicitly gay for him. It has simulated sex scenes and full frontal male nudity, and so you might want to be warned of that. I don't recommend watching it with straight friends. I guess I'll have to finish watching it in my bedroom, but not until the weather gets cooler.

My boyfriend and I were very disappointed with Dante's Cove. I rented the first DVD on Netflix and we did not even finish watching the first episode. Though we did enjoy the first graphic gay sex scene before we shut it off :lol:

I agree, I rented it from Netflix and couldn't get through the first disk. Very boring and the acting was the worst I have ever seen.

I've only seen the first season on DVD from HERE TV. It would be nice if Charter Cable offered it in my area...alas....until then I have to watch it as it comes out on DVD season by season. It is sort of campy but very good. I would like to see some African-American, Asian and Hispanic male characters in the series somewhere down the line. The guysthey have are all very HOT!!!

It's cheesy but watchable. It prides itself on being a guilty pleasure. Richen and Jensen Atwood from Noah's Arc are being added for the third season.
