Dark Night Rises

I saw it last night along with the other Batman movies was there from 1pm to 6pm (in line) 6:15 to 3am watching all three movies. The crowd in our theater was cheering, laughing and talking to each other during intermission between each movie.

The theatre I go to didnt play the trilogy for Batman..Then again maybe they have and I missed the advertisement......They did show all Lord of The Rings years ago but I decided not to go.....That would have been an all day thing...

Didn't Heath win an Oscar for his role as the Joker? I hate to say it but I doubt Tom Hardy would win an Oscar because half the time I couldn't understand what the hell he was saying. If a person was to win an Oscar it should be Christian Bale.

Heath sure did....It would have been the begining of many Award winning performances....

Yeah it was a long day especially since we didn't get out until like 3am after Dark Knight Rises. We did get these nice little badges and a car decal sticker.

I went Friday afternoon - in NYC - was interviewed by a local TV station about the violence in Aurora - sorta weird

I LOVED the movie

Thought Anne Hathaway (not normally a fan) held her own and then some
Christian Bale outstanding
Joe (don't call me Joseph) Gordon Levitt - so cute - not sure if I liked him because he's cute or he was good or both
Thought Bane was super scary - made me nervous
Cutting off the bridges was wild
didn't dig the time when Batman was stuck in the pit - too long
The police in Gotham are pretty fucking stupid no? LOL

I was thoroughly entertained for the full time - and it was long

it was my fav to date

i agree - hard to understand Bane

I thought Anne Hathaway was awesome too

Possible Spoliers.........you are in this thread so thats your fault if you do but be forwarned.

Just went to see the movie tonight. Was enjoyable, I still think the last one was better, but not that this was worse. Enjoyed the action and the explosions, the bridges exploding, etc. OK......now somethings that irked me. Batman was getting his ass beat, repeated by Bane, i was laughing and being ticked off at the same time. He wasn't even making it a fight, he was getting his bat ass handed to him. Also, like most films, all the speech making before you off somone is a bit much, if you really want to kill someone, you go ahead and do it. Also, while the bitch was dying, the one who doublecrossed everyone, why didn't someone hold her nose or hit her in the throat or something, just to make it painful. Also, why didn't he slowly pull Bane's lil air holes out, he just died to easily and quickly for me. Didn't understand Bane to much and forgot how much i didn't like Batman's voice. Even with all that, still a good movie and why did they just pull the name Robin out their ass for Joseph's fake name? Do I see a Batman & Robin movie in 2020, lol.

I liked it, but didn't love it. Definitely entertaining. It got a bit too over-the-top for my tastes. Not quite the believable comic hero flick as the previous one was. Some things it focused too long on, and some things not long enough. Bane reminded me too much of Darth Vader. And it's bad enough when Batman's speech is indecipherable, that Bane had to be the same way. The cat burglar (as opposed to Cat Woman) seemed like an extra diversion whose character had no real purpose other than increase ticket sales. I didn't really fall in love with any character. The ending wasn't very satisfying for an end to a trilogy. I agree that JGL is hot, he's matured nicely. The twist about his character's real name is confusing; it wasn't necessary either if this is really the end of Nolan's trilogy.

Just got back from seeing Dark Knight Rises and we LOVED it....Christopher Nolan is one Helluva Director and he can tell one Damn Good story....Christopher WILL get an Oscar Nomination for Best Director. Technical Oscars will be given around the table for his Team...The Legendary 2 time Oscar winner Sir Michael Caine will get a Nomination for Best Supporting Actor...Dark Knight Rises will get a nod for Best Picture...

I LOVED the Score (Background Music) it was PERFECT for every scene...I know a lot of people dont care about the Score but the music was on-point...I had to google who Christopher Nolan hired to compose the Score and he picked famed composer Hans Zimmer..Hans has a Golden Globe, Grammy & Oscar under his belt and that is WHY The Score is so Damn good...

The flick was suspenseful from begining to end and full of surprises....The Magic of Film NEVER-EVER dies when a Studio let's a Gifted Director do what he is hired to do....I thought nearly 3hrs of filming was gonna be a bit much but it was right on time...

I got a question for those of you that paid attention....When we see Bane during the FIRST underground scene, is his pants hanging down and showing his Boxers?

Hollywoof heavy-weight Producer/God Harvey Weinstein threw a campaign fundraiser for President Obama a few days ago. Anne Hathaway (Cat Woman) hosted. The Prez told the crowd that he recently viewed DKR and Anne was the BEST thing in it....LOL...Yeah....

I understand the Prez was trying to be nice by giving the hostess her propers but he lied..I Love Anne and she gave us a good Cat Woman but if you take out all of her scenes the movie still sells itself..Bane & Robin were the stand-outs...

Anne won't get an Oscar nomination for Dark Knight Rises but she'll get an Oscar nomination when Les miserables drops on Christmas day...

Anne Hathaway was very good in the film. Makes me want to see a Selina Kyle spin-off featuring her.

Went to see it a second time. Great ending to the series and JGL certainly has turned into a fine young man.
