My boyfriend said his parents would never let him sleep over at a friends house when he was a kid. I want to have him spend the night one of these times, but I've been struggling with some cool stuff to do (besides the obvious :D).

Do you have any ideas on fun stuff to do to help him experience what he missed out on when he was a kid?

I'm thinking one of the things we need to do is build a fort out of sheets and pillows. Any other ideas?

I think this idea is super super cute!

I remember doing the whole fort thing.

I also used to really love camping in the back yard. Pop a tent up (ahem!), get a fire pit, then get all weinerlicious (ahem!) and s'more it up! I find it makes for better conversation just being out in the open air.

LOL Thanks Shaman and SomedaySoon. Can't really, uh, beat the weiner thing...awesome idea ;)

I remember doing that, also, pillow fights!!!!

uh how old are you guys?

I figure he would enjoy just a simple night. Turn on the TV, cuddle on the couch, a kiss here a peck there, fall asleep like an old couple.

Play scrabble? cook together?

building a fort....you guys aren't kids anymore, you know.

The OP stated what he was looking for, and yes, it is slightly younger and more childish that what you are suggesting, but that is what he is looking for.

He is trying to recreate the quintessential childhood sleepover, thus the forts and such.

I would go all melty if someone did this for me.

Oh my...I want a boyfriend like you! That sounds like a great idea! I indeed suggest candies, chocolate and stuff in the night! Also maybe some classic cartoon movie to watch together while under the covers!!!! Awww...please let us know how things went!!!:)

I'd get some board games ready. Make some carmel apples and pop corn (real popcorn, not microwave). Get some movies that were popular when you were kids. The fire pit and wiener roast was a good idea. After my parents went to bed we would play "strip poker" We also made our own ice cream. Played video games. My mom would get up and make a big breakfast. Scrambled eggs, hashed browns, sausages, bacon, French toast. Was nice to wake up to that smell. 1 time my friend and I sneaked out and went streaking. We were too scared to go any further than my parents yard. lol. When we got older we had the biggest dick contest, who could shoot the furthest and the most.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with re living experiences like this. It's a lot of fun and is good for the soul. I think it's a great idea and he is lucky to have someone like yourself. Have a great time and let us know what you decide to do.

Steven.

This is too cute. Love it. Definitely build a fort. Order a pizza. I like the firepit/camping in the backyard idea.

I want a boyfriend who would share these childish activities with me. Come on, what beats cartoons, video games and forts! Cute!

Childish things are the most fun. To those who say "grow up" I say "Get a life" Never feel pressured to conform to ageist stereotypes. Do what you enjoy. He is a lucky guy to have you as a thoughtful BF. (*8*)

s'mores.

Movies from his childhood. Scary ones preferably.
