I started wondering about it recently when I met a pretty cute guy with the same first name.

Does is happen often? What's your take on it?
 
Yes, it happened to me. It was a lot of fun.
 
I think it's not common, but it's kinda cute. But can get confusing, if you get serious - A friend of mine named Lukas has got a bf Lukas, they've got married and his boyfriend took his surname... the friend had to add a second name to make it work :)
 
I know one person who said it was a deal breaker. Which makes him even shallower than most gay guys. :)

i fooled around with a guy with the same first name.. and it is a uncommon name Riley
 
I have an extremely common first name, so there's at least two of me in every group of friends. I've gotten used to that already.
 
I don't think I would. It would be too weird. (Thankfully my first name is pretty uncommon).
 
I wouldn't mind, it actually sound fun :lol: Now, dating someone with the same first name as your father/mother... that'd be awkward.
 
my name is Joey....there are like 20 other joeys in my school and 2-3 (its debatable lol) other gay guys in my school named joey...
 
I haven't met a gay guy with the same first name yet.. but some months ago I was seeing someone who was born the same day as me... well, that was weird :)
 
Not long ago, I had a chat with this guy who has same first name as I do. I jokingly said to him to keep in mind that he could oblige if anyone says to him to go f* yourself.
 
I don't think it would happen to me since my name is not common at all. But I have two dear friends that have the same name, they have been together for 20 something years

I think is cute
 
I have nothing against dating someone with the same name as me, I just think it would be weird for a couple to share the same name as an early 90's Nickelodeon TV show.
 
There's nothing hotter than calling out your own name during sex (!)
