Dave Mate!

This is SUCH a great story - the situations are contemporary with a wonderful native spiritual background ... I just LOVE the characters ...

Dear JustaGuy,
I tried to post from the hotel in Corning - they were in the middle of upgrading from Cat3 to Cat 5, was SLOW - I thought I managed to update the post - I guess it got deep-sixed.

Anyway -- Another great chapter of very believable action.
It's too bad the housemates are being such Putz's.

I like that Dave is recognizing just how much Steve's friendship means to Rawiri/has meant over the years.

It's too bad that Steve hasn't been able to accept that, while Rawiri is HIS best Friend, DAVE is Rawiri's best friend - and love of his life.

Matt is a great kid brother - although I wonder what he needed to show Ra in private - but outside in a public space. Well, brother's can be that way, so I guess we'll find out when Ra is alone with Dave and brings him up to date.

Thanks, again, for your continued efforts in bringing us this wonderful story. We appreciate it a great deal.

I just caught up with the last chaper. As Críostóir said, I am also glad that Dave is the one showing common sense now. I know from past experience how difficult it can be for some to accept the idea of their best mates being gay. Time usually smooths things out, however, there are those that won't even try to reconsiliate. I hope that is not true with Steve. The others, Dean et al, are not as significant in this particular case as Steve. It would be nice if all were able to wrap their heads around it and accept Dave and Ra's relationship. Matt it truthful and honest in his opinions, however, he has to be careful and not jeapordize their chance of keeping a long friendship alive. Another great chapter, JAG.

justaguy, better that than agonize over every paragraph, every sentence, every word, as I do. It takes me forever to get a chapter out. You got the story rolling. If you want to do something other than publish it here, you can go back and rework it later. But if you never get anything written in the first place...there's nothing to edit!

As for Matt...I've met people who wanted to discard people at the first sign of their being less than perfectly accepting. Hell, I've been that way. Ra is a little extreme in that way too. I think someone (Dave, maybe?) needs to shake Matt a little and say "you're not helping!"

Yes, Matt's a bit of a worry isn't he guys ? Thanks for all your comments.

Hey, I was just reading Part I again last night. Was just thinking how much my writing has improved, even since then. I don't think I made a very good job of about the first 6 or 7 chapters and they would definately be improved if I was able to write them again. Never mind, it's too late now. I needed to get more interaction going earlier ... to get people into the story because it takes a while to wind into it, as it is.

I say just finish this story first them think of a new one start fresh to make your improvements its just a thought

jag this story is awesome, i really have to commend you!

i love every chapter, and i cant wait too read the next installments.

take your time and write them how you want to, i know for me when i write something to fast to please others i generally hate it!!

loving the work (!)

Mum and Dad are there? Eek, I can't wait for the next chapter already. Something tells me they're not there for good reasons?

JustaGuy,
A significant day in the lives of our young pair plus one.
Nothing earth shattering, a little honest confusion from Dean about sexuality and identifying same.

And, what are Rawiri's Mom and Dad doing, unexpectedly arriving at the new flat?

Dad doesn't seem the sort to lend aid to the "light loafer" side, but maybe Mom has gotten some sense in his head.

Thanks, again, for all your efforts in crafting this story for us.

mom and dad ehhhhh
sounds kinda fishy

vant wait for the next chapter

Another great chapter. I particularly like the conversation with Dean. Some people, especially guys, just need a little time and information, because they've been taught badly.

(Btw, Dr. Smith may have been played by a straight actor (not that marrying his HS sweetheart and never divorcing is particularly evidence), but the character itself was a typical Hollywood "evil queen" stereotype. Can't trust them faggits, yanno.)

OMG! I'm so in love with Dave and Ra's decor. I wonder what design school they went to...lol Brings back such fond memories.
I also think Dean has a curiosity going on and he may be the catalyst that bring everyone back together. That and Dave's leaving the new number in the album.
I hope Ra's mom has finally stood up to the old man and forced him into submission.... Can't wait for the next chapter.

Wow ... and the parents arrive without warning ... a very ominous happening ... I am so into these characters that I am very anxious about what might develop ... I have started biting my fingernails again ... damn!

Whoo-Hoo! Go Dave! Yay, Ra's mum!

As for Ra's dad, I hope she throws him out of her house.

Holy crap

well done dave! Glad he finally said something!

Its sad to think the had idiots like ra's dad in the world, i know my dad would be the same.

Dear JustaGuy,
That was a wonderful chapter. To have Dave come forward and ram it home so eloquently was magnificent.

They are a true team, partners in life. The ancestors saw through to the essence of them, individually and together, and spoke wisely.

I'm glad Ra's mom heard with her heart and head, and didn't disregard what they had to say.

You continue to demonstrate a great skill at crafting the tale and sharing important messages. Thank you for being willing to share your talents and your insight with all of us.
