Do you really think that David got voted off AI for the bad publicity he got off of stripping , or was it just a bad voice?? I really wanted to see David go all the way, but with bad publicity I really don't think it happened.
 
I have to agree with jaxzon. There's no way he would have been the 1st to leave out of the top 12 had it not been for the bad publicity. You must remember who does the most voting...females from the age range of 8 to 30. That being said, he wasn't getting any grace from that audience unless his performance was unbelievable.

No, I don't think it was cause of the stripping publicity. I doubt many of the voters even heard that news. In fact, if the voters had heard about that I think it would have gained him votes.... such is the way of things nowdays.
I figured he'd go much farther in the competition though, I guess it was cause of his previous performance. Though I think a couple of the girls did far worse in their last performance.
He was a cute guy and seemed to have a good way about him on stage.
 
I think the publicity hurt him. He was in pain on the show and it affected his performance. He's a hot guy and a good singer. I think we will see more of him in the future. I think he should have stayed. The slut side of me lusts after him and I would enjoy seeing him strip. I'd also fucked around with him. I'm glad he was a stripper and tried out for AI. Maybe this country will get over its prudish, judgmental self.
 
Whomever voted in the past for contestants like Kellie Pickler probably like Kristy Lee Whatserface and gave her enough votes to keep her safe. A weak performance and a smaller fan base puts any contestant including Hernandez at risk. But if you want to believe rumours, go right ahead.
 
I personally didn't even want him in the top 12. I am glad he is gone.
 
I think he was eliminated by the producers who didn't want the publicity that disqualifying him would have brought.

I mean, his Itunes songs were among some of the most popular of the bunch. I just have a hard time believing KKKristy got more votes than him.
 
In my opinion, it was his stripping. I thought, even though this week's performance was his worst yet, that he had one of the best male voices on the show. No way was Kristy Cook better than David.
 
I think it was his silly facial expressions when he sang and how he tried to hard to be sexy...
And he was also way to huggy and kissy every time someone was saved til the next week.
He wasnt a bad singer but he was definitely more a good karoake singer.
 
The AI producers got rid of him so he wouldn't be on the tour with the top 10. Too much controversy.

I was reading a Q and A forum online, where the question was "Was David the right pick" There was so much homophobia I nearly sent a virus to the site. If that's how most voters of American Idol choose their contestants, there will never be an openly gay or lesbian Idol.

On that note, it's just a popularity contest, nothing more.

Why do you think they have refused to ever reveal what the vote has been for any individual contestant? Or to have independant verification of the vote?

And why do you think they refuse to be considered a game show by the FCC, even though in the strictest sense it is? Because they would have to use outside verifiers of the voting.

Believe me, they "futz" with the votes whenever they want to. The end credits have a disclaimer to the effect that they can eliminate the votes of anyone they want to for any reason whatsoever.
 
I had high hopes that this season of American Idol would go gay but now that Danny and David have left I'll just have to wait for next season!!:cry:
 
Oh, I have no problem believing that AI futzes with the figures. I just have a problem believing that NOW it's an issue, because the marginally talented gay guy isn't on the show anymore.
