so its the first day of 2010. what are your plans?

i'm planning on having a late lunch with my brother and our friends. i'm going to call up some old friends and family i haven't spoken with for a while and wish them the best and get caught up. so what about you?

I made an awesome pot roast in the slow cooker overnight. Now I'm going to fix some collards and some black-eyed peas for my traditional New Years Day meal. :)
 
Did some work in the garden, cleaned the car, had lunch then later in the afternoon went for a long walk to get some exercise, enjoy the views along our coastline and take some pics. A small sample for you ....

It's now 1.00am on Jan 2nd and I'm off to bed!! Nighty night! :wave:
 
Watching the Rose Parade and later football games and getting drunk :eek:
 
My younger sister is a truck driver and she caught a cold on her route last week and it's gotten down into her chest. She has to head back out on another trip to Dallas tomorrow. She called me this morning wanting to borrow my Breath-Aire machine (it's a breathing treatment machine for asthma and bronchitis.) She was going to drive to my place and pick it up. It's a 35 mile drive one-way. So I told her to stay in bed and I would bring it to her. I drove to her place and took the machine as well as my vaporizer to her. On the way there, I stopped at WalMart and bought a bottle of Vapo-Steam for the vaporizer and a box of mint tea.

I handed everything to her at the door and only stayed a few minutes, because I didn't want to catch what she had. She gave me a $20 bill to cover the cost of the stuff I bought and for the gas I used driving to deliver it and for the return trip back home.

On the way back home, I stopped again at WalMart and bought a rotisserie chicken in the deli there. When I arrived back home, I made a pot of coffee and ate a drumstick from the chicken, then I ate a chicken sandwich made with breast meat.

Now I'm thinking about taking a nap.
 
With my car in the shop until the replacement part comes in Tues., I'm a lil limited on my options... so getting back into town from the party last night, cup of coffee, cookies, nap...

Planning on dinner with the good Dr. and off to his abode for...the rest of the day.
 
^ we are assuming there will be much humping??

This thread is called "Day one of twenty ten" and as this is my first day on JUB, I thought it an appropriate place to make my first post!

PS: I'm glad to see this thread says "twenty ten" and not "two thousand ten"!
