The Halloween Ghosties and Ghoulies want to remind everyone to turn the clocks back one hour in areas that observe Daylight Savings Time, starting November 1, 2015.

Here's a video to help you remember: "Midnight in a Perfect World"
(DJ Shadow's masterpiece from 1996 - 1996, Can you believe it? Awesome!)

Actually, this is 'normal' time. Daylight Savings is the made-up stuff.

FUCK WINTER TIME! Sorry I'm a mediterranean guy. I'm sorry, the extra sleep hour we get in autumn doesn't worth the hour we miss in spring and the sunset at 18:00 is depressing.

Who's that knocking at my door?

Old Man Winter, ready to freeze my balls off.

Isn't it time for civilized countries (like the USA) to consider doing away with the foolish, artificial "daylight savings time"? It takes a lot of adjustment of the human and the animal world to get used to the clock change, with all this "spring forward, fall back" nonsense.

I've always found this confusing -are you sure it isn't 'fall forward'? It's more alliterative.

^ *Here, here !* (Or is it *Hear, hear* ?) I'm never sure....

But then one would be required to "Spring back". Doesn't work, nor does it fit. As it gets lighter earlier in the day as one reaches Spring the time jumps forward one hour in order to "take advantage of the extra hour of daylight".

It came out the only reason we keep DST is that the people spend more so it helps corporate profits.
Look it up if you believe otherwise.

I can't believe how many people get this wrong. Somebody having a movie night tonight in their living room in a Detroit suburb got it wrong...the email said something "Don't be late - remember to set your clocks forward." I corrected him. I guess this time of the year the biggest danger is showing up EARLY, though...

Exactly. And we're damned proud of it, too.

Now I have to make sure I get plenty of vitamin D.

Um, that's ironic. Vitamin D isn't a vitamin, but its deficiency is intensified by the LACK of artificial time.

Hey. Have a little pride. We invented time and we exploited it. Nuff said. It's not as if we are polluting it or GMO-ing it or anything.

Everyone's a whiner.

I know. The whole time I lived in Alaska my sister-in-law couldn't figure out if my time zone was ahead or behind hers in Central Standard Time. And yes, she graduated high school.

It is 3:59.

I am up.

My cats can't tell time.

Welcome to November everyone.

Whoever stole the sun, please return it to the sky -pronto!
