Dead Like Me is back!

I don't know if anyone here ever watched this show (it was on Showtime in the USA and the Movie Network in Canada... and probably other stations in other countries). It's coming back in the form of a DVD movie, not all the details have been released yet but I hope that they don't mess it up. I loved that show during season one. I had gotten introduced to it late, so I was able to buy both seasons in a fervor.

I loved season one. I immediately started season two and was completely disappointed. I didn't under what had happened. George's characterization became completely cynical and useless, I didn't understand why Daisy was attracted to Mason but immediately dumped him for that loser Eric McCormick played.

Especially annoying was Reggie, who was really losing reason to be such a little bitch to her mom, when Joy tried so damn hard. There were a ton of deus ex machina things with whatever theme they wanted to throw in, and nothing was ever really carried along with George's family. Mom finds a guy that she likes, who Reggie likes,a nd after two episodes, with no explanation, he's gone and we're back at square one.

It was really disappointing.

Maybe they'll do justice to what the show could have been with this movie...

If only.

it has to have the original cast. especially Ellen Muth and Mandy Patinkin.

or else it'll be just another crappy straight to DVD movie.

Yup, they need the entire original cast back to make it work. It was sad that the show only last 2 seasons and by HBO standards that's just 26 epis. Is Mandy the only one in a primetime series at moment? If they can shoot it while Criminal Minds is on hiatus then this could work.

I used to watch it, but sort of got tired of it. Guess the premise got old for me. Still, I'd definitely watch the movie version.

Oh, I loved the show... 'specially George and Rube! The whole cast of core characters were fantastic, really.

That is so great! But they must get the original cast back, and the storyline must tie up all the loose ends that season 2 left us with, like:

What's the deal with Crystal?
Why does George have "special" reaper powers?
Did Reggie see George?
Who brings the post-its?
Betty?

...and more semi-nude Mason-ness!

How does George have special reaper powers? When did she exhibit that?

Reggie always sees Un-George. I would never expect her to see George.
