Dead Sea needs world help to stay alive

Now that's an oxymoron. That looks like something that Jay Leno would have on his Headlines segment.

Jordan is a pretty powerful neutral country. I can understand why they're government is a bit sketchy.

Well who needs the river water more? Thirsty and starving people or a lake that some people think is pretty?

The lake. Screwing up the environment will kill people anyway. Check out the Aral Sea and the health of the people around it if you want an example of how to kill both off at the same time.

Israel uses most of the water. It is mostly responsible for the problem. You need much water to "make the desert bloom".

See if that happen over here in America you would see them starting to build condos,Department stores and whatever else they can squeeze on there

Bad analogy. The Aral Sea is a very different case altogether.

The Aral Sea was once full of fish and was home to several fishing communities, towns, and cities, and is now also polluted with heavy metals and other toxic materials as is the surrounding land.

The Dead Sea is almost sterile and no large communities or cities surround its shores and its water and surroudning land is non toxic. It is productive only for its minerals, unlike the Aral Sea.

I think you are still forgetting that it is part of an ecosystem.
