I must say that .....why certainly I believe at love at first sight.............it happened in my life.........and I am glad it did.........:gogirl: (!) (*8*) :D
 
Absolutely! I've seen it happen to other people, and it happened to me. The love of my life (so far!) and i knew it the moment we met. We met through a mutual straight friend i had invited to a pool party i was having, i had no idea he would bring 4 other people with him (rather rude) and that one of them was a closeted gay guy who was hotter than that August day. I heard the doorbell, opened the door, and our eyes instantly locked. I knew instantly that God (or whoever you believe in) had set us up. Now i've been instantly attracted before, but that was more lust than love. This was LOVE big time, before we even had a conversation i knew this was it. The sex was also the best sex ever, which is a no-brainer.
 
I believe in love at first sight...well it's not really first sight....more like a feeling that just having that initial conversation, it's like finding a part of you that's missing.
 
I certainly do believe in love at first sight, because it has happened to me. Not long after I had come out, I started going out to a local cafe, where a large group of gay men used to meet as there is no exclusively gay venue here.

On my second time there, this guy ssat next to me, I was immediately besotted with him. He was about 20 years older than me, with a wonderful mediterranean accent. We just started chatting. Well, what started out as the usual chat, turned into a 4 hour conversation. In the meantime, one of my dearest friends was sitting next to us. Being the oldest guy there, he is a very intuitive person, and noticed that something had happened between myself and the other guy. Well, it quickly got to the point a few months later, when this guy asked me over to his place. I accepted. It was a wonderful day. That was 7 1/2 years ago, and we are still together. Our very good, and intuitive friend later told us, that he saw something wonderful had happened that night, and knew that it was the beginning of a wonderful relationship. Many said it would not last, some even said some vicious things about my character but I feel vindicated by the longevity of our relationship. It definately was love at first sight.
 
hmmm. lust at first sight is a definite. it might grow into love or it might just fade away. i was reading something and love was being compared to a volcano. i can't remember the whole story but it goes something like "when a volcano, the smoke keeps billowing out and the lava flows uncontrollaby. but sooner or later, it will subside and cool down. love is like that too. you might be all passionate and hyped up at the start. but love is only love when the bond is so strong that you realise that the both of you should not be separated when things start to cool down". i don't know if this make sense but i'm sorry i don't have the story lines with me.
 
I believe love at first sight is impossible. Lust at first sight certainly. Love is a meeting of minds, lust is an image from the eyes. I believe true love can be blind but you have to meet / talk first. The eyes just help to promote the meeting. Sorry haven't worded that too well but I hope you get my drift.
 
Attraction can happen right off. If we're lucky it can turn into love. Love has to be worked on & takes time, but it sure is worth it!
 
I believe in the lust thing as well. Some gorgeous guys are total pricks!

I think love develops.
 
i believe. all my long term men i knew the moment i met them something special was happening.it's like everything just comes together and fits.
 
I was going to ask this question, glad it is here. I'm not sure of love at first sight, like was said before. I do love can grow, but I am changing my thoughts on this. I met a guy a few months ago, and from the first few conversations I had with him, I felt something there for him, and he said the same thing. We are still very early in the relationship, but I am sure he is the love of my life, and we will be together for a very long time.
