I've said this before, but let me tell you something...I've met more than my fair share of famous people. Working in some large hotels over the years has allowed me access to some really interesting folks but none, and I mean NONE of them have had the star quality and absolute jaw dropping aura that Bill Clinton has. I've seen him up close and in person three times and the last time (2008) I actually got the chance to say hello and shake his hand while he was fundraising at our hotel in Boston for Hillary. When that man walked into the back of the house before going into the banquet room it was like somebody turned on a spotlight and you could just fell the energy that surrounds him. Charisma like nobody I've ever met.

So Maryland Governor Mark O'Malley, Illinois Governor Pat Quinn, former Virginia governor Tim Kaine, Joe Kennedy, Senator Harry Reid, Rhode Island Governor Lincoln Chafee, former Ohio Governor Tim Strickland aren't white males? Warren would glaze the eyes of the nerdiest policy wonk. Bill can communicate ideas,connect. He makes smart look cool. However, a lot of his success was with working with the opposition on some key areas. The new lot of Republicans unfortunately seem beyond pragmatic spurts of real bipartisan accomplishment. Yet dealing with pragmatic conservatives is the only way a Democratic Administration, short of taking large majorities in both houses, have an opportunity of avoiding long standing bouts of deadlock. Same would go for a Republican administration dependant on some pragmatic Democratic support on certain issues.

Yeah she is not good at long speeches like Bill Clinton.

She's more a technocrat: she gets down into the figures, pulls out patterns and principles, and puts together plans. Technocrats aren't usually good at communicating much more than the immediate concern, in just a handful of minutes.

I expected to be bored somewhat, and she didn't disappoint.

It's what made him worth anything as president: he takes ideas that work from where he finds them, and doesn't particularly care about the source. And he recognizes those who propose things that work, regardless of who they are.

But he's better at it now, I think. IMHO Clinton is more presidential now than when he was elected, even than when he left office.

Exactly. Just what we already knew. Even if Bill had stretched the truth on anything, you are unable to know exactly what it was. You just assumed he did because that's what you want to believe. But you just admitted you have no clue and need others to do the fact checking for you.
