Who are you going to support in the primaries?

First: It does not matter, they all have qualities and they would all be better than Dumbo Trump.

But who do you prefer?

Who is your first choice?

...Buttigieg: He has 3-6% in the polls... He still has to work a bit

Andrew YANG,
the ONLY one who can beat trump with MATH, numbers, statistics, ubi Freedom dividend $1000 per month .... etc etc.
He has hundreds of great policies on his website in writing !!!

as I stated in another thread. . .anyone who isn't conservative, Republican or the Donald ..|

I'll support anyone who wins, even very reluctantly, Joe Biden... but as of now I'm supporting Elizabeth Warren.

I loathe Harris, she's better than the incumbent, but that's not saying much.

If I could...I would be right there for Elizabeth Warren.

I honestly think she is the only person who can restore much of what has been lost in the last three years.

The most important thing is to choose the person who can win.

She put over 15,000 people with marijuana offenses in jail.
That mud will stick and hurt her badly. Its unforgivable to put these people in jail.

Restore what was lost ?
I don't think people want that. People want Yang's policies and move forward.

1) Tulsi
2) Bernie

I have thought since the end of the 2016 election the idea is for Bernie to pick Tulsi as his VP.

Either Buttigieg or Warren, still on the fence. Wish we could get Buttigieg's youthful vim and vigor and Warren's experience 'round the block in one package....

^ You can. Warren for Prez. Buttigieg for VP.

Meanwhile....

I'm leaning towards Biden, Warren, and Harris

a hard NO to Bernie and Tulsi

and Yang will not be president...sorry, Telly

I’ve listened to Mayor Pete on the radio a few times, and have liked what I have heard. However Biden seems to be the front runner, so I will probably support him in the long term run to defeat the current administration.

Honest opinion:
Biden = No, baggage baggage baggage
Warren = maybe
Harris = NO NO
Bernie = too old
Tulsie = 1 tissue policy
Yang = many great policies therefore, president.

Well, THAT gives her some demerit points in my book, Telstra. Thank you for sharing this. as I hadn't heard (and I might not have).

Being so much against this issue is too ominous, making me quickly think of other issues she could easily be against, by interpolation. I actually know little about her.

I'm now sort of "hovering" and looking at the entire spread, and my support of Buttigieg is in flux as I see him gaining NO traction. In the end I'll likely go for whichever one has the best support of African-Americans and Latinos legally allowed to vote, with hopes of change with the swing voters. IT WILL BE ALL ABOUT DEFEATING CALIGULA_2.0, and other than possibly Bernie I don't see any of these people to be toxic. I DO NOT WANT BERNIE!! Biden is too old, but Bernie is DEFINITELY too old...and his anger is starting to be loosed, which is not necessarily a good thing at all. He won't stop EMPHASIZING his "democratic socialism" or, worse, "socialism" and we all know the Caligula_2.0 campaign will take that and run with braniwashing Stalin and Mao ads, etc. That said, I'll vote for any of these, even Harris.

If the candidate in the end is something I don't like, it doesn't matter. I'll vote for the Democrat, even if I consider them a Demoncrap. None of this, on that candidate's future behaviour under any circumstances, would be even remotely how awful the president is now.

I need to make my decision in a few months, to know what I'll do in the Primaries.

THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION OF MY LIFETIME. If Republicans run the table in 2020, future elections will be irrelevant. They will wreck EVERY Court, to the top, to assure that ANY election-practices cheating goes unpunished. Elections after 2020 would be absolutely irrelevant, because ALL tools for their complete and perpetual coup d'etat would be in place.

Will Caligula leave if he loses?

^Corrected for truth... This is the most important election of OUR lifetime.

Biden will find a GOP Senate that won't compromise with him if we can't take the keys from Mitch and the GOP. Whatever he remembers from the past in Washington, that era is dead and gone. Bernie's message is great, he seems no longer to be the best messenger...agreed, too angry, too much a scold. He is actually more a social democrat, European style or a modern age New Deal embodiment. Other socialists are mixed about how he defines Democratic socialism. He should point out he's the most in the spirit of FDR.. and if the moderate wing finds FDR too radical and socialist(and he wasn't so much as someone who wanted to save capitalism by greatly reforming it and pushing a mixed economy) why are they Democrats? Warren is the best messenger for reform, but Trump and the right will throw everything against her... I do think though she's just as stoked for the fight and will hit them back hard.

Harris I'm not confident about since Tulsi Gabbard really threw a few powerful points against her especially on her conduct as California Attorney General at the debate and it had some impact, she was uneven and not as strongly confident as in her matchup against Biden the first time. Buttigieg has to make inroads in the black and Latino communities, especially because of his serious problems on race back in South Bend especially regarding the police department. He does seem like he really wants to learn and grow and in 8 years will be in much better position to offer a substantial candidacy... he's definitely intelligent and intuitive, and works hard... things this current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue lacks. I'm with Warren at this point but will vote for whomever ends up the Dem nominee... the stakes are WAY too big at this point as Frank points out.

Wait, wait, we're both right, as I was talking in the perspective of what's happened so far in my lifetime (which encapsulates yours, and nearly anybody else on here, as I'm surely the oldest guy who will see this thread), and up to and including November 3, 2020. As such, "my lifetime" includes virtually everybody else's lifetime, so there's that...anyway, folks, TAKE THIS TO HEART AND DON'T FORGET.

The possibilities are unthinkably brutal and cruel. This cannot happen, and I hope that we don't have another situation like 2016 when three critical states may have been lost because of a third party candidate who "seemed reasonable" but was A [STRIKE]SOVIET[/STRIKE] RUSSIAN PLANT, and may have cost PA, MI, WI which should have been Clinton's. Vote for a third party candidate AT RISK TO THE SURVIVAL OF THE UNITED STATES, THE SURVIVAL OF HUMANITY, AND THE FUTURE OF THE PLANET. The cult currently in power has no plans to encourage alternative energy...ever. All Republicans can do is to remove tax subsidies to other types of energy, and penalize it, to protect oil and...COAL.

The world is doomed if there is a second term for the president. I'm not kidding.

Yeah Sausy, YOU know that, I know that...but he is hurting himself greatly by calling himself a "socialist" without hesitation. That is one of the most "loaded" words in English these days. Even if he called himself a "democratic socialist" (small D) that would be a great improvement, but he won't even do THAT. Talk about shooting himself in the foot. (I'm also not at all convinced that Bernie has even a SHRED of an open mind. He's very much a "my way or the highway" kind of guy. Even as facts or circumstances may change, he is NOT going to change along with them, even if his formula is total and abject failure. I can actually see him as an "I'll just take my toys and go home" kind of guy if he doesn't get his way. His anger speaks to that. He's not even on my radar this time...)

I agree about Buttigieg, because his approval in POC communities hasn't even BUDGED a hair's width. It just isn't gonna suddenly skyrocket between now and the primaries.

Warren is probably my preference now (because with Buttigieg, POC would just not vote at all, and where would we be then?), but I'll fully EMBRACE whoever becomes the Democratic nominee, unconditionally.
