Derek Chauvin Found Guilty on All Three Counts

What I don't get is why conservatives treat this as a political thing? A man was tortured to death in broad daylight and all they could think is "us vs them libs".

When did life stop being precious to conservatives?

You answered your own question, that's all they can think.

Life is only precious when it is their life. Otherwise, everyone else is dispensible if it serves money, ideology, and power.

This is an older case, how do you know people were actually silent about it? People say this but it isn't usually the case.

I know because it didn't make the news and no protests .
And has anyone found guilty? no idea.

Because they don't even hide their contempt for black people in America any more.

They are all playing to a base of proud and increasingly dangerous white supremacists.

Very happy with the verdict. Of course these things don't happen more than in the past. It's just that now they are being recorded.

Is there a chance to reopen this old case here, perhaps?

That was horrific, worse than Chauvin because that police had total power with machine gun over the victim.

Apparently Chauvin is on suicide watch. Hopefully the Epstein rule will come into force and blind eyes will be turned at every opportunity

That cop was cleared of any wrong doing.

He was found not guilty, but damn I don't care what race involved(Shaver was white) THAT was an execution and the jury fucked it up. NOBODY should be disposed of summarily like that, of any color.

Historically, juries have a lot of trouble convicting cops.

Here is something most people don't know. After the trial the police department qietly rehired Brailsford and gave him medical pension of $2500/month for the rest of his life.

That is insane. Now I hate the tendency by some on the left to go all out against cops... there are many really good ones who try despite the culture to serve the community the best they could. But cops like Brailsford and Chauvin aren't bad apples... they've been accommodated and enabled far too much. And it's terrible that Brailsford is essentially getting away with murder and his department seems just fine with it. No matter what the color of the victim, the militarization of the police and that corresponding authoritarian and enabling culture has to go.

As long as conservatives treat this issue with a sports team mentality, there will always be cops like chauvin and brailsford and those that enable them.

Too bad that someone wasn't standing on his neck when they did it.

Hope it hurt like Hell. And that it was a rusty blade.
