Desperate Housewives starts Sept 30th!

meh....it was alright...laughed a few times...but none of the storylines really caught my attention so far. and really do we need another new neighbor that has a "secret room" come on now....

I was glad to see Ricardo and James of course... but Nathan Fillon on the block is just rawr. I hope we get to see some more of his skin

I thought the premiere was great. I'm excited to see where ALL the storylines are heading. I haven't felt that way since Season 1.

Bree is hilarious, and I have a feeling that Danielle's baby is going to be her black history teachers from last season. The writers dropped a little foreshadowing in towards the beginning of the episode when Bree mentioned him. Boy will Bree and Orson be in for a shock.

I hope Edie and Gabrielle face off somewhere down the road. They both love Carlos, and they are both women who get what they want. Edie is beginning to remind me of a Footballers Wives character. I can totally see Gabby/Carlos/Edie in a Tanya/Conrad/Amber struggle. (Does anyone reading this know what I'm talking about?)
Now how is Gabby going to get out of her marriage to Victor? She could always do what Tanya Turner would do and fuck him to death, but this is ABC, not BBC. I think Victor is gonna buy the farm around episode 6 or 7.

I feel so bad for Lynette, and I am glad that her mother isn't being hell on wheels like I thought she'd be. I hope she sticks around for a while because I like her character.

Katherine seems like a great addition to the show. I look foward to seeing her face off with the women, especially Bree and Lynette. I heard she has a problem or two with the new gay couple. They move into the Applewhite house in episode 4 I think.

Susan, who I really couldn't stand from the middle of season 2 onward, was less annoying than she's been lately. I am curious to see if the baby is Mikes or if its Ians. I hope its Mike's because I could not stand Ian.

So yeah, great premiere and I can't wait for next sunday. :)

from what ive heard. they are making the gay couple a campy and bitchy to start fights with the women. they needa get andrew a hot new bf or bring back justin. that storyline was actually pretty popular with younger fans. idk why they just dropped it.

I missed the beginning; how did they handle the attempted suicide? I saw Edie later in the episode, but was wondering how the episode started.

Haha! I loved the triangle/square of Tanya, Conrad, (Noah), and Amber. I can see it boiling to that extent.

Edie was holding herself up on the crossbeam, and when Carlos came home she let go. She wanted him to save her. However, Mrs. McCluskey came and bitched about the trash cans being out for several days. And they saw Edie hanging in the window, and Carlos saved her in the nick of time.

You've greatly exaggerated. They're not campy or bitchy. And they don't start fights with the women. They have a feud with one woman--Susan, and it's because she tries too hard to be politically correct.

Yay, E! called it an almost perfect episode.

Desperate Housewives: An almost perfect premiere episode, in my opinion. Yes, the Wisteria women jumped back on track last season and could very well hit their stride this year. I think we’re already invested in Bree’s fake baby bump and are even rooting for her and Orson to pull off the whole charade. And who else teared up when Lynette, sans chemo wig, watched her friends digest the truth about her failing health? Or when Susan and Mike realized they were pregnant? Plus, the Dana Delany-Nathan Fillion family mystery is already killing me. Is that girl their daughter, or what?!

And we all know this how?

It's been reported in the entertainment press. I read the same thing.

Although it seemed like not a lot happened Sunday night, reading between the lines, they set up about 20 plot points to explore throughout the season. That's what's supposed to happen in a season premiere.

I thoroughly enjoyed the whole episode, and I hope Andrew does ask Bree for those leather pants.

Lynette throwing up in that chicks purse
Bree with that fork sticking out of her belly
Susan in those stirrups

Yup, the ladies are back and funny as ever.

You know what would have been cool?

If Edie had really died, she and Mary Alice could co-narrate.

That would have been awesome.

They could either give us different point of views or agrue back and forth in the afterlife LOL

Exactly, that's why I loved it so much. It was a funny and enjoyable episode, and a great springboard for later episodes.

lol. It's great to finally be able to put a face to a name.

"oh my baby" *mocks shock* :rotflmao:

Marcia Cross hit that one dead on.

I haven't watched much of the last two seasons, but when did the show become a refuge for Sex and the City exes. Both Trey and the peepee politician are now married Househusbands? I almost expected Berger to come sweep Susan off of her feet....at least it would be more interesting than the painfully boring Mike.

Well I know Marc Cherry was a fan of Sex & The City--he studied Sex and the City and Six Feet Under when he wrote the pilot for Desperate Housewives--so that might have something to do with it.

But also, there were so many damn men on that show it's not too surprising they ran into each other elsewhere. lol. I mean SATC even repeated actors (Yes I mean you, Justin Thereux)

can't wait for jesse metcalfe to be back on. !! :)
Did you happen to catch him on L.A. Ink...it wasn't pretty.

He got a completely heinous tattoo covering a large portion of his arm.

I saw pictures of it. It looks so bad.

I'm not happy about him returning to the show. His character ran his course two seasons ago. Plus he's the worst actor to ever appear on the show. He made the jump from Passions, the worst show on TV, to DH, one of the best. His acting had nothing to do with it.
