Desperate Housewives starts tonight!

omg they killed Jackie

and yep it was one of the best episodes ever.

I also liked this episode best.

And I liked that the show was really using Felicity Huffman to her best - methinks DH is trying to gun down the Best Actress award this time with Felicity in the gear. Go Feli.

I hope so! It was complete bullshit when DH and Lost both got shut out at the recent Emmys! I'm hoping for a Felicity/America Ferrera head-to-head for next year's Best Actress in a Comedy!

Marcia Cross was excellent in this episode.

Team MC for Emmy.

Felicity wasnt funny, however moving, it was a dramatic performance.

There was controversy regarding when Felicity Huffman won that Emmy for a dramatic role... but when it comes down to it, the category is "Best Actress in a Comedy Series"... she was the best in a comedy series, was she the funniest? Nope. But boy, was Felicity good though.

She would be a fool not to send in this episode for her Emmy consideration. The last scene alone should win her the award again.

On sidenote, I'm already tired of Austin and Julie...

Good season overall this season. I was in complete shock when Lynette went over to the house to drop off that cake and found those pics in the basement. Should be an interesting plot.

I tot it was funny to recall that mary Alice commented in the 1st episode that the street got busy only after her death. Hell, it was pretty alive without her. still, she go the story kick-start.

Anyway, with pedophille story in, what DH is short of is a story of lesbian and alien-kidnapping. Still, I think I am beginning to like DH again, minus Susan love-saga.

I agree with you on the Susan love saga...getting kinda old. Also the whole Mike getting in trouble with law thing is getting old too.

I don't get it with Susan plot this time. A girlfriend who insists on a drawer, even when the butler reminds her of the existing wife?

How bad can the story go for Susan?

Yea, the whole drawer scenario is just getting me prepared for another heartbreaking scene with Susan. I do love when they pile on the tears, and last season when she ran out of the house in the wedding dress is my favorite scenes of the series, but ...c'mon, why can't they just let her be happy? I don't even care who's she with, but she just continually seems to get her heartbroken :(

This season overall has been pretty mediocre for me. I could honestly care less about Orson and his mother at this point. If they would have addressed it in the season premier, it would have been better....but they seem to be skipping around the fact that he's a killer, and that he put Mike in a coma! I've just lost interest completely in that whole storyarc :/

Same goes for me about this season. It's a bit mediocre. The entire Orson thing is kinda dull but got a big lift tonight though with Alma being alive.

I love how they ended the pedophile storyline tonight because dragging it any further would be a little too much. That last scene between Lynette and Art was brilliantly acted, brilliantly written and it sent chills down my spine. I personally thought he was just going to respond with "Good, am glad you're feeling guilty." when Lynette told him how sorry she is, but way to go by stepping it up. Did anyone else think Art was just pouring it on to give Lynette more to feel sorry about? Or do you think he was just that creepy? Either way, I loved the complexity of that character and am sad to see him go.

What a few episodes for Lynette, huh? She was responsible for two deaths (Nora and Art's sister) and potentially some kids out there in harm from Art. I CANNOT wait til the episode where Lynette finally breaks down so I can see the glory of Felicity Huffman's talent.

Oh also, time to dump the Gaby storyline unless it actually goes somewhere besides Gaby hooking up with new guy to make Carlos jealous. Ian pulled an "Emily from 'Friends'" tonight by fulfilling the territorial British lover role and we know we all just saw the beginning of a sinking ship between him and Susan.

P.S.- No new episode of DH until the year 2007. That's right... a long month with Wisteria Lane indeed.

What? NO DH until 2007? Ahhhh!

I am starting to like the fact that the Designing Women cast is making their way back into TV. Suzanne (Can't remember real name) in Boston Legal. Jean Smart in 24. And now Julia (again...can't remember real name).

No, he's hot, let him stay, lol. I'm sure there's something ridiculous planned to get him out of the way eventually...

Website doesn't say that...it can't be true, how am I supposed to make it through exams without DH? lol

Hehe. Don't think ABC would promote a four week absense of their number one show. But I think EW has something on it. It's only four weeks.... it'll be fine. At least I will, I have 'Brothers and Sisters' to plug in the time on my TiVo.

But back to DH, like I said, I cannot wait to see Lynette's breakdown (I hope there is something with all those events happening around her) when the show comes back. Also, is this the only season when Lynette actually had storylines that last more than 2 episodes? I'm just glad Marc Cherry is finally thinking of things for Felicity to do.

Well if the storyline isn't going to be the best ever, at least Felicity will have better chances at winning more awards for increased load of performances...

Team Cross for Emmy

I guess she was good but she wont be winning any awards.

Her performances of late while good, were not comedic in any sense. They were dramatic performances and Desperate Housewives will compete in the comedy category.

Team Marcia Cross all the way

"Let us know if there are any survivors"

"Oh thank God" when she found out that Mike was taken in for murder.

"We all have our convcitions Susan, i believe Mikes last one was for manslaughter"

"Thats our gift to them" in response to Mother Hodge.

"These things practically build themselves"

Ah. And the mudslinging begins. JK!!! :D

DH does indeed compete in the comedy series categories but the category calls for 'Best Actress In A Comedy Series', not 'Best Comedic Actress In A Comedy Series'. How else would Felicity have won an Emmy for the first season sending in the episode where she melts down on the soccer field over more comedic turns by Teri and Marcia?

But anyway, am just glad Teri Hatcher didn't win one that year.
