Desperate Housewives - The Return

Why does everyone want to see a gay affair happen?

I'd rather just see Andrew with some new guy around his age.

Because it wouldn't be Desperate Housewives if he got a boyfriend that easily.

These women are so beautiful! Probably some of the hottest women on primetime.

I'm also very excited to see Gale Harold :) I love him.

I stopped watching a season or two ago, and never kept up. It was really getting bad (storylines, character/personality changes from episode to episode). Just two weeks ago I decided to give it another try and caught up on-line with the last four episodes. Some great characters (I LOVE Felicia...evil revengeful sister) but terrible stupid storylines...again! I started watching last weeks episode this past Sunday nite, and turned it off half way thru. So much wasted potential for this show. You can see storylines coming from a mile away. Especially since they are rehashes of old storylines. (Tom and Lynette are great characters....who relive the same storylines over and over and over. For how long can they each take turns being jealous over eachothers revolving careers??!!)
I would have loved to have seen Paul and Felicia hate eachother so much, obsess about eachother so much, that they slowly, bond and fall in love. THAT would be a fun twisted storyline the would be reminiscent of the early (great!) days of this show!

I'm done with this show, and won't be disappointed when it is canceled.

I agree. This entire season was a disappointment, IMO. It lacked any sense direction... Where was the mystery? The emotion? The big bad villain?

Susan's health issues had me for a split second (when she asked the ladies to watch over M.J. should she not make it), but lost me when they were written with such dire inconsistency and predictability. Eva Longoria was again given eye-rollingly subpar material to work with. Did Bree have any storylines besides kooky relationship problems? And Felicity Huffman... Well, she's doing the best she can with what she's been handed, but Lynette marital struggles come across as an agonizing inevitability when you consider her behavior over the past seven (twelve?) years, plus the fact that, at this point, she's the only housewife who HASN'T gotten divorced and remarried.

Oh, and the "Housewives assemble!" resolution to the Gaby's stepfather arc was a half-cocked retread of the exponentially more powerful season four finale.

I stopped watching this show when they got rid of Orson's character. Just because they ran out of storylines for Orson and Bree, it did not mean the show had to get rid of him. Those two were two of the best actors on the show! They could sit and stare at eachother for half an hour, and they would still be interesting to watch, lol. I followed bits and pieces of the show thru t.v./celeb news sites, but tried to pick up the show again during the last four or five episodes. I am glad I did not waste my time with this seasons. So many things were thrown into the season, then dropped, then new storylines picked up,.......that the whole thing just did not make sense.
