Did anyone watched this show? What are your thoughts on it? It's a very deep and psychological show, and very thought-provoking.

The only Dexter show I know of is Dexter's Laboratory that used to come on Cartoon Network. That show owned.

Lol! No, I'm talking about a live action show.

PS: Dexter's Laboratory sucked big time IMO.

Dexter is now on Showtime or HBO but it premiered on CBS on Sunday nights earlier this year. Talk about film noir, wow! I wasn't a big fan. I am not a Pollyana but I think there is too much violence on TV and CBS has promoted three shows that were over the top. (1) SMITH which lasted 3 episodes and glorified a professional gang of criminals (2) CANE which had Jimmy Smits killing an enemy within 10 episodes and (3) DEXTER which had a blood spatter analyst-CSI type who kills bad guys vigilante style. I'm glad to say all are no longer on network TV.

The thing is, there is much more to this show than violence. If you past that, it's an incredible show.

I have enjoyed all the episodes on SHOWTIME since season 1.

I have been meaning to watch this show. I hear it's incredible.

I borrowed a friends DVD - got hooked on episode 1 on CBS - but wanted to view the original - it was great - can't wait for season 2 to come out on DVD

Actually, it premiered on Showtime; they're now showing repeats on CBS.

I like the show, the premise is interesting and the characters compelling; but haven't been watching it regularly, and have mised all the subplot stuff. It comes on too late at night.

Michael C. Hall is sooooo much cuter as a serial killer than as a semicloseted undertaker. ;)

Love the show. Can't wait until the third season starts up. Loved the season 2 finale ending. It was great.

The trailer for Season 3 is now out!

Looks fabulous!

I love knowing that he went to my local college. That means he must've lived here for a while. Which means there's a great possibility that I passed him on the street once, or perhaps we ate in the same restaurant once or shared the same toilet or something, LoL.

WOW! Can't fuckin' wait!

Awesome!!! Sept. 28 needs to come quicker! I just hope that they don't center the storyline around Dexter trying not to get caught.

I agree that it should not be on network TV, but not because I have a problem with the violence. Personally I think there's just some shows (the Sopranos would be another one) where you just can't cut the mature stuff out and have it be the same show.

My friend had the DVDs of season one and I watched those and thought it was brilliant. Watched season 2 online and thought it was even better.

This has to be one of the best original shows I've seen in years. Can't wait for the next season.

yeah, that was the whole thing last season. I hope it's more than just that. I'm sure it will be good though.

It is an amazing show and I take CBS for showing season and getting me hooked on it. Seriously the season 1 finale may be the best hour of television I have watched in my entire life.

I enjoyed the show. Michael C. Hall is excellent in it and it's cleverly written. The morality of a killer only killing people, who deserve to be killed, isn't new, but it's still adds an extra dimension.

One obvious downside is that it is somewhat weird about dead body parts. You sometimes get the impression that you're supposed to go along with the main character's detached and/or fascinated view of them, which, for me, doesn't really work. In those moments, he just comes across as deranged or unduly intrigued by obvious props.

The main downside, for me, as with many clever idea series is that in the second series, it just ran out of steam. The resolution of the plot line about the nutcase girlfriend was ridiculous and just like an episode of FX's nip/tuck.

I know the whole Dexter premise is complete fantasy, but it's the pretend reality of that fantasy that provides the dramatic tension (almost getting caught, etc.) If it ends up being completely implausible on almost any level, it just becomes a cartoon and a waste of time.

Is it just me or is this season way better than season two? I can't wait for the finale

i don't get Showtime, so i'm right in the middle of season 2 from Netflix. i definately think it's one of the better shows that i've seen lately. i almost avoided it strictly because everyone else was raving about how good it was, but i ended up watching a friends of copy of the 1st season. now i'm hooked!!!

I've seen a few episodes from season 1 and the first four from season 2.

It's a good show. I like it. Plus Dexter is pretty nice to look at. That doesn't hurt the show appeal either.
