Diablo 3!

Even though the Diablo series was considered a "click-fest" they were fun. Blizzard Entertainment are currently working on the sequel. Their website has character info ( They kept the barbarian, others are now demon-hunter, monk, wizard and witch doctor) and some cool gameplay vids.

Unfortunately we may have to wait til sometime in 2012 for the release. I for one cant wait

The only thing that I really didn't like about D2 was how heavy your character is reliant on items, and how hard it was to come by the stuff and trying to grab your share before some dude comes and snatches everything up. Other than that I had a blast with D2 and I'm excited for D3, whenever it comes out.

not being a big gamer, i mainly play old games that are cheap and dont put a lot of strain on my computer. i discovered diablo 2 a couple of years ago, and boy, is it fun!

which probably means im gonna play diablo 3 around 2020 ^^

kinda off-topic, but people also might be interested in the diablo-esque, free, browser-based game triglav. its quite old and very simple, but i think its a lot of fun, and the visuals are amazing. unfortunately it doesnt play on mac, so i only get to play it very rarely.

As someone who can't stand WoW, I'm disappointed at how much the graphics hint at a similar 'feel' to WoW. That said, I can't wait for Diablo III - I just hope it doesn't disappoint.

Also, is it sad that I'm looking forward to hearing the soundtrack almost as much as playing the game!!!

I spent way too much time playing Diablo and Diablo 2. Totally addictive. When I heard WoW was even more of an electronic cocaine I had to stay away or risk failing school.

But now that schools out, I am ready for some Diablo 3!

Everyone wondered why it took 10 years for the sequel to DII, but I'd say they hit it out of the park! I avoided the Auction House at first, but it really is key to going up faster, and as long as you stick with gold pieces, you aren't paying out of pocket and in some crazy credit card race.

What's your fave character? I like the Witch Doctor a lot: I've had up to ten pets following me around, which gets a lot of notice in multiplayer, but it does make it a bit laggy.

Like everyone else, I hated the internet dependency at first, but the fact they patch/ add stuff all the time is a plus now.

Got all five character classes going: 3 of the five are up to 60 lvl now, with the Demon Hunter and Monk lagging a bit. Guess I don't like those as much as the others. I need to get a life, don't I?

I've been playing off and on since release. I have to say, I really don't like the reliance on the AH. It would be nice if it was just a convenience, but it's more of a necessity because of the way they designed the game. I also don't like that they threw out the skill tree and based all damage on weapon damage (with some modifiers), but I've gotten used to it. Overall, I don't think it quite lived up to the legacy of D2 or to my expectations, but that doesn't mean it's not a good game. Because it is. It's just not as good as I was hoping.

That said, I have only three characters, two of which are level 60. I have a level 38 DH, a level 60(12) wiz, and a level 60(16) barb. I don't get to play a lot because my crappy internet only works well enough about 4 hours per day, and those 4 hours don't always coincide with when I am actually available to play.

I have to say, the past two patches have improved the game a lot. I love the Paragon system and the Monster Power system. Also, I had never found a set item before 1.0.5. Now I've found two. Definitely moving in the right direction.

I beat the game with a WD on inferno and have never visited it again. That was back when the game was still ultra hard on inferno.
