Snarling Dick Cheney is back. That heart that was ripped out of someone's chest and put into him was a complete waste of time and taxpayer's money.

Dick was at the Wyoming Republican State Convention when he slammed President Obama by calling him an "unmitigated disaster'.

This really means something coming from the likes of him who is responsible for this train wreck of an economy. The mold for our current situation was cast in 2007 and 2008 by an administration that rang up 6 trillion in debt, gave away 4 trillion in tax cuts, mostly to their wealthy friends. He and the other war criminals started two wars, passed a prescription drug plan with no funding, precipitated the loss of 6 trillion in equity in our markets, oversaw the near collapse of the banks and our entire economy, and was losing 700,000 jobs a month.

Talk about an unmitigated disaster, and it's name is the Bush / Cheney administration.

Dick, keep your mouth shut. We're aware in order to preserve his place in history, Cheney has to demolish Obama. History will show that this is the man who continues to insist that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, and are just a few months away from launching a nuclear attack?

He can't go outside of the U.S. without being arrested, who knows that his unfavorability ratings are the highest of any sitting VP EVER, and that he's reviled by most, is trying desperately hard with his daughter to salvage his reputation.

Cheney shows no love for Obama - Video on msnbc.com

He's the one that called Canada "threatening" and refused to visit Toronto for a speech.

this seems like faux liberal outrage to me ;)

and it's pretty obvious that Darth Vader is dead on here

I think "disaster" would have sufficed personally

"unmitigated" is a little extreme *

* but accurate

Chance, you've been scathing in comments about the President over the past couple of weeks. What is it that makes you feel his presidency has been "disastrous"?

Some points: unemployment is dropping; GDP is rising; more private sector jobs created in 2010 than during the entire Bush presidency; for the first time, US medical insurance companies are required to actually pay all justifiable claims to those they've insured; local US oil production is at an all time high; Iraq and Afghanistan wars are winding down; ended Don't Ask Don't Tell; provided spousal benefits to same-sex Government employees; ... etc etc.

What the fuck has Obama done so far?

Given that you are prone to chastise others on the forum for exaggerated statements, what characterises this administration as an "unmitigated disaster"? Because it sounds like overheated rhetoric to me. I could buy "mediocre" or "slow to act" or a bunch of other more low-key criticisms, but "unmitigated disaster" is, frankly, way over the top.

Don't accuse Chance of double standards, the universe can't hold that much hilarity focused on one person.

And I am also very confused about the short memory of some people. I mean, were you not HERE four years ago? Do you SERIOUSLY not remember how much worse it was? Or are you just angry because no miracles happened over night?

Dick Cheney is the last person on earth who should be criticizing an administration. Just look at his record.

Is there anyone who could take anything this guy says seriously?

One of the men who singlehandedly broke America?

I take him seriously. I am not sure how old everyone is here, but I was thankful that Bush and Cheney were at the helm after September 11th. They, and especially Cheney, have always been about keeping America safe and sovereign, and Lefties at JUB cannot convince me otherwise.

Remember, he is one of the people who is all about protecting us from those in the Middle East who consider homosexuality a sin against Allah, punishable by death. Conversely, the late, great Mike Wallace, a darling of the Left, described the "President" of Iran thus: “He’s actually in a strange way…a rather attractive man.”

Oh, and before you get your dander up and tell me how I am wrong, kindly include a link for your post in which you decry the homosexual-cide that goes on there, that which Cheney fought against...against the tide of the Left.

And yes, I think his statement that President Obama has been an "unmitigated disaster" is spot-on. I would say that he is a committed Marxist who is running the country into the ground, but "unmitigated disaster" is more succinct and gentlemanly, and Cheney has more credibility.

^ Which Obama policies would you consider "Marxist", or even socialist?

^ *sigh* I don't even know where to start with kev's response.

Dick Cheney "keeping us safe".....? He didn't keep us safe on September 11th, 2001. It's because of him thousands of Americans and countless thousands died in illegal wars he lied us into. Cheney's administration is the "unmitigated disaster" he so gentlemanly describes.

You blindly omitted the comments made about this demonic human in the original post. And yes, you are wrong.

Dick Cheney "Keeping us safe".........OMFG! ](*,)

ADDED: Here's a couple of pics of Dick Cheney "keeping us safe"......

Jesus tap-dancing Christ. Dick Cheney keeping us safe....... now I've heard everything.....

Wow, you are ubiquitous, aren't you?

Listen closely:

K.E.P.T. U.S. S.A.F.E.

(*8*)

Which particular actions of the Bush/Cheney administration do you feel protected the US? Was it...

• Ignoring the memo on their desks titled "Bin Laden Determined to Strike In US", five weeks before the worst terrorist attack on US soil in history?

• Was it the invasion of a sovereign nation that had no ties to Al Qaeda, which had not directly threatened the US in any way, had none of the purported weapons of mass destruction that motivated the attack, and proved a costly and destructive distraction from the search for true Al Qaeda agents in Afghanistan?

• Was it the killing of Al Qaeda's leader Osama Bin Laden? Oh wait, that was Obama. Bush reportedly stopped "thinking" about Bin Laden within 6 months of Sept 11.

• Was it the killing of the next two chain-of-command Al Qaeda leaders, and other Al Qaeda leaders throughout the Middle East? Oh wait, Obama did that too.

If you measure "keeping us safe" by the number of terrorist attacks on US soil, the Bush/Cheney administration falls very low on the scale, having overseen the worst attack in US history. If you're only measuring their success SINCE 9/11, isn't Obama still leagues ahead of Bush/Cheney in removing Al Qaeda operatives AND preventing attacks on US soil?

Yep...... he "K.E.P.T. U.S. S.A.F.E.".....LMAO!

Tell that to the thousands killed in NYC and the Pentagon when Bush and Cheney ignored the terrorist threats.....

Another way to measure "safety", if not just on US soil, would be to consider the number of US military deaths.

During Bush/Cheney presidency: 4852 deaths

During Obama presidency to date: 1572 deaths.

Ah yes, Dick Cheney "K.E.P.T. U.S. S.A.F.E."....

What he protected are profits for his cronies at Hallibutron.

I can't speak for Darth Vader - but "unmitigated disaster" is politician's speak - and similar words I imagine have been said about GWB - it's par for the course - so the "outrage" here is ............ yawn inducing

My contempt for Pres. Obama began a couple of months ago when it was apparent to me that his entire raison d'etre was getting re-elected. He has either engineered or allowed himself to be manipulated into a strategy which begins and ends with class warfare and division. Whether it's woman's "rights" or the the budget and the buffet rule or his comments about trayvon martin.

During his entire 3 year tenure all we hear about is what he inherited - how it is all the prior president's fault. Let me tell you something. Anyone who takes over a position CANNOT be singing that tune for as long as he/his peeps - in the real world, that refrain gets you shown the door. In his world, it's grounds for 4 more years.

He's all talk and NO action save for getting OBL - which was grand.

I appreciate his work on DADT repeal.

He has not produced a workable budget - and has not pushed his dem controlled senate to do so

He has no balls as it relates to reducing entitlements which are crippling the country

He just passes the buck on all problems - and blames the Republican congress

anyway ................

he doesn't suck

he just isn't good

and 4 years is quite enough thank you for a do nothing and dishonest leader

u want "overheated rhetoric" ????

listen to him talk to the american public - he's running a scorched earth dishonest campaign - every single day

feigning concern for his little girls about repub rhetoric but ignoring the same from dems

time to sign off now

i need to get to sydney btw
