As you know Mike, I am totally with you on this issue. I'd like that explanation, too. And it's not just the appeal of them, but why do so many men want to make themselves look like this? I can't tell you what a turn-off it is to me. Not to mention how ridiculous it looks, especially when you see some guys who have hairy thighs, and some belly hair, and then you see this shaved "zone" around their crotch. Seriously?

The shaved or waxed zone on a guy who has any degree of body is not only hideous, it’s hilarious! There’s a guy at my gym who has a locker opposite mine, and he’s nice enough to talk to, but I have a boyfriend so I don’t bother going after other guys. He’s Greek and Italian and has hairy legs, torso, crotch, and some on his back. One day he showed up with just his pubs and ass shaved and I caught a glimpse and had to look away really fast because I knew I’d start laughing. A few weeks later he began to complain how it was growing back in and the hairs were sharp and scratchy. I didn’t say anything, but all I could think was “WTF did you think would happen?”.
