Did you ever have a "bathroom" book?

A number of years ago I picked up a World Almanac for a couple of dollars at a garage sale. I found it a great book to read as I sat on the throne. I made a habit of reading about different countries, their form of government, units of currency and GDP per capita. This gave me a perspective of the world that was quite valuable in contrasting life in America with other nations.
So, I know that smart phones have pushed books aside in many cases or what you read is on your device, but did you ever have a favorite book to take into the bathroom with you?

Not my thing. I get in and get out.

My brother did keep two books in the bathroom growing up I looked at. "1,001 things that piss me off" and "1,001 more things that piss me off".

I keep a few magazines (not porn) in the bathroom to read on such occasions.

I take whatever I am reading in the bedroom into the bathroom.
I like to take my time so a few pages of my current reading matter is ideal

Not a toilet reader...we were trained to do our stuff and get out so the next person wasn't waiting...but my grandparents outhouse had the Almanac hanging there I understand.

I used to have a bathroom bookcase with many light reads on the shelves. But as the buttocks get older, they don't tolerate a hard seat for that long anymore, and the lighting is poor which wasn't a problem long ago!

I did have a teacher in high school who had an entire library of about 500 books in his powder room at home.

My legs fall asleep if I sit there too long.

I've known, worked with - and lived with guys like you.
I'd thought for a while, that guys who quietly disappeared into the bog with a book, for half an hour - with a book, or newspaper for lengthy periods, were really just 'slackers' workwise.

Having been a part of all male share-houses, as a young dude, I realized it a more common (and mostly male) phenomena than I had realized.
I can only say 'these guys' are in need of a lot more fiber in their diet - or medical intervention - if it takes them half an hour to take a dump.
If it's the smell of their own shit wafting up between their legs for 30 minutes - they are in need of psychiatric therapy.

I found it to be a place where I never was interrupted or bothered. You can read a lot in 5 or 10 minutes especially when you are reading specifics about other nations.
