I was actually babysitting my nephews, and each of them brought a friend over. The two 8 year olds were out before 11 (despite their best efforts), and I sent the 11 y.o.'s to bed at 1:30am (they were getting raucous in their online gaming). Lol ... sadly, for them I awoke the house at 8am for a hot breakfast and didn't take "no" for an answer. I informed their respective parents of such, so as to not let any of them nap today as all of them have school tomorrow.

I would have slept, but my own son was out playing "sober cab" to his friends. Blessedly, he came home just after 2am and was beyond tired. We've got a deal; I know he drinks, but there are ways around that. He doesn't drink and drive is the paramount rule! He has his own truck, but if he wants a ride to spend the night at so and so's house for whatever reason, I obliviously oblige him. He's even called me once from a party (no ramifications), as he wanted to come home and everyone there was drunk. He just knows that whenever I know that he'd been drinking, he's getting up early the next day to help me with some chore or another.

So, did I get a kiss? ... umm ... no, but I did kiss the tops of the head of the main three men in my life -- it just wasn't at midnight. I see that we fell over the proverbial "cliff," but me oh my, some of my friends' unemployment benefits are saved, and I'm sure Wall Street is breathing an interim sigh of relief.

P.S. I did get A LOT of kisses at our school's Christmas party. Lol
