growing up, I never really hung out with guys. boys were always too rough and i was never really interested in sports or anything physical like that. so i hungout with girls. like I honestly didn't have a single male friend up until maybe when I was around 12 or so.

and from the other guys that ive talked to most seem to share my experience.

so what about you? did you have male friends growing up?

The majority of my friends when I was growing up were male.

Of course.
I am still friends with many of them (and most all of them were straight).
And I had Vincent, who was my childhood friend, then my teenage and young adult lover.

I didn't have very many growing up. Most of them probably thought I was just too awkward to be friends with due to my personal interests and introverted nature.

I always had an equal mix of male and female friends throughout my life, but I have more male friends now.

I had a few friends at my high school, but most of my friends went to other schools. I was in band, and every Wednesday, all the band members in the entire school division would get together for practice. We were all outcasts in our own schools, but we were sorta outcasts in band too because we weren't goody-goodies like everyone else. That, plus the fact that we all happened to play the clarinet, sorta made us gravitate together. If we went to the same school, none of us would probably even talk to eachother (By the way, this group was an equal mix of male and female too. One turned out to be gay, another turned out to be lesbian, and another turned out to be bisexual. I guess I had more in common with these people than I thought!)

I've always had a pretty even mix. I'm happy about it.

Tons of em. I like guys and try to surround myself by them

I had like 2 groups of friends my school friends and they were a pretty good mix of guys and girls, but I lived in another district pretty far away from school and had a diffrent group of friends I mostly hungout with outside of school that were pretty much all guys.

Yes. I was close friends with a large group of males and am still in contact with most of them.

I had a few friends but not really close friends. I had more acquaintances, casual friends of both sexes. At home I often hung out with my younger brothers and their friends.

Went to an all boys school most of my life, and pretty much only had male friends.

Yes. I didn't have a close female friend until the latter half of h.s., and it was just one, but had about 8-10 guys I would get together with all the time.

In my childhood, I must say that my only best friend was my younger brother. We shared toys, activities and were almost inseparable. I remembered being highly distrustful of those who tried to make friends with me. I was close to all of my siblings. Then puberty happened and in Secondary school, everything changed. My current best friends are female and they have been with me since we were 13! Funnily, one of them turned out to be lesbian so that kinda strengthen the ties even more.

Throughout my adolescence I must say that most of my friends were female. Then University came and changed the dynamics: most of my uni friends are male and I eventually came out to my closest few with not much drama. Now, mostly sexy and hot gay males who are amazing!

I was actually very mean to the other gender when I was a kid.. I probably only ever did one nice thing to a girl and that was help her open her locker but other than that I was meeeeaaaaan. lol.. so needless to say the only friends I made back then were guys.. looking back I was such a dick.. hahaha

Yes, I grew up with mostly male friends. I still do have mostly male friends now. I live an outdoorsy active life. I make friends through my hobbies...mountain biking, snowboarding, kayaking, orgy.

My best friends were always male but friends in general I had an even mix of male/female.
