Anyone seen this yet?

I think I would have enjoyed it a lot more if the pre-publicity, trailers and tv spots hadn't shown EVERY FUCKING GOOD BIT of the damn thing.

This isn't some mediocre Steven Seagal crap where the trailers need to show shit blowing up to get an audience, its fucking Die Hard, we know there will be some great stunts and action, so why spoil their own film by showing everything before the film even opens?](*,)

I have a free ticket to see this movie (got it when I bought the new boxset of Die Hard movies)

It's good to have John Maclean back in the saddle again!

I would have liked to have seen it, but once I heard it was PG-13....

Isn't that nice? The Die Hard series has turned into a family event! Freakin' Hollywood...they'll turn anything into crap just to get a few more bucks...

:grrr:

a friend of mine saw it and said it was kinda weak and disappointing :-/
i so wanted to see it but now i don't really feel like it

I thought it was pretty good. At least a couple of people that I know who saw it separately also agreed it was well worth seeing. And, not that it means more than it is, but www.rottentomatoes.com shows that it has almost an 80% approval from published critics, which is again pretty good for an breaking glass movie.

Not that I normally go out too much of my way to see these kinds of action movies, but it worked on a number of levels.

Bruce Willis was like Matt Damon in the Bourne movies, very no nonsense physical and dynamic.

Justin Long (the Mac guy on TV) was underused but had one or two funny moments and was cute to look at. Their relationship turned into a father-son type of thing and you didn't want the Justin Long character to get harmed.

The plot was a mega-computer-hacking number, which was vaguely plausible.

And the action was kinda realistic. Maybe computer graphics have got better, but I thought the crashing and breaking stuff was better than others I'd seen in say the last X-Men or Superman.

So bottom line, for what it is, it's worth seeing.

Oh god, no. Please, don't believe your friend. It was awesome! I was enjoying the movie from the moment the action started - which was pretty early in the show, until the end.

John showed how sequels should be made.

Power-packed stuff, man.

The best action movie of the year...if you like old school, blow up entertainment this is the flick to see.

i agree, it was good, I just wish they had kept some of the money shots out of the pre-publicity.
