Does anyone here love Dinosaurs like I do? If so what's some of your favorites and why?

One of my favorite is Stegosaurs...

I like triceratops. I named a drink (Myers' Rum and cranberry juice, wayyy too sweet for me now) after it once.

ETA: Also way too alcoholic, but I stopped liking very sweet drinks years before I stopped drinking.

Li'l Bit's favorite dinosaur has always been Stegosaurus. :~D

Pterodactyl was cool. And the dilophosaurus...

But one of my favorites was the Archaeopteryx.

Brontosaurus has always been my favorite. I <3 Little Foot! The Land Before Time (before they made ten-thousand sequels) was one of my favorite movies as a kid.

Brontosaurus is a sad story. It's like the "planet" Pluto.

There never was a brontosaurus. They put the wrong head on the body.

I KNOW.

I grew up with plastic brontosauruses too. But they were a mistake.

Nah, there are multiple "long-necked" species of dinosaur. Don't believe everything you read. I can link you to hundreds of websites claiming dinosaurs never existed period.

True, right, and true. But the one called a brontosaurus was just wrong. Seriously. And that's the scientists saying it, not the ID freakazoids. Here's the link from The Straight Dope.

Brontosaurus or Brachiosaur, I also liked the Pteradon. Aww... memories of being a kid and trying to find dinosaur bones. I did find dog bones though. :D

I was one of those kids that was obsessed with dinosaurs. I knew all their names, what period they were from, and I had so many toys and books... I could never pick a favourite because I loved them all. I remember being heartbroken when my parents wouldn't let me watch Jurassic Park (probably for the best).

Tragically, I became stupid and all that knowledge disappeared. What could have been...

The age, brain size and scales of dinosaurs remain me of our dear friend, Lilbit.

Obsessed with them as a child. I actually developed my acute love of language at a very tender age reading "The Big Book of Dinosaurs," attekpting to sound out the tongue-twisting Latin monickers of the Terrible Lizards. Many, many favourites: Struthiomimus, akin to a big, reptilian ostritch, Compsognathus, Triceratops...so many beautiful creatures, never to be seen by human eye.

Triceratops (may have) never existed.
