Disc Question - What happened to Zips, Floppies

Re: Disc Question - What happened to Zips, Floppie

You know sometimes floppies do come in handy. The other night my keyboard totally stopped working. Thinking I had some kind of weird keyboard virus I got out my trusty little DOS boot disk and boot the machine from the A: drive. Then I see a "keyboard malfunction" message from the BIOS. Actually, the plug had just come a little loose while cleaning earlier. If I hadn't had that boot disk I probably would messed around with it a lot longer before I figured out what was wrong.

You mean when your keyboard stops working, checking the connection isn't the first thing you do?

I know it's the first thing I try when something doesn't work! Check the obvious first. Like if something is password protected try "password" first, or if you are about to pick a lock... test to make sure it isn't already unlocked!
