Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Discussion Thread from the Funny Anti-Religious Pictures thread.

Which is completely incorrect.

Only for those who are wrong about it

They mistake the external element which is previously, logically necessary for anyone to make a judgement of evidence, but evidence can only be grasped, formulated and communicated as a subjective element.

In other words, whatever we perceive is not "the thing itself", not even "A thing itself": it is "something else" FROM, OUT OF that original thing, which we can only LOGICALLY ASSUME.

You know the start of the Dao De Jing, do you   And you also know the mess that Plato realized, in his very last dialogues, that was his original "theory of ideas".

no one has special god goggles to read the bible and in fact it’s a
pretty clear read. this is something they say when they have no
answer coupled with the inability to admit they don’t know or are wrong.

So, Christians stole a pagan ritual (Samhain) and turned it into a Christian ritual (Hallowe'en) and now want to steal their own ritual and turn it into JesusWeen. It might stand a chance if they make the 'W' lower-case and put an apostrophe between the e's:

Jesuswe'en.

Nope. Ixnay on atthay. It doesn't stand a chance.

In order to "unread" the Constitution, one must "read" it first.

And if they had read the Constitution, they would know that the First Amendment applies to the government, not to them.

I'm reminded of those who tried to kill this thread a few years ago

People tried to kill this thread because it is deliberate persecution allowed against no other group.

Besides which, blasphemy laws had little to nothing to do with losing arguments, they had to do with control.

Responding to "How to be Pro-Life":

I was all behind it ..until I got near the end and the condemnation of Roundup.

Roundup is one of the safer herbicides available. Greedy lawyers have jumped into lawsuits contending it has caused illness and death.

Many riskier products are being used today. They apparently aren't as easy targets.

So I won't be forwarding this, although I agree with the rest if it.

The "real" Jesus, in his own words and actions from the four fictional gospels and the later epistles, was neither a Democrat nor a Republican. Yes, he preached some pretty commie principles, but also very reactionary right-wing ones. He even told a so-called adulterous woman to "fuck off and be decent, bitch!" (or in the Elizabethan English of the King James Bible: "Go and sin no more, bitch!") which is not as progressive as Occupy Democrats want to make him look.

What year is this quote from? Because this may have been true in the 1980s, but ever since at least the Ayatollah Khomeini and his fatwa against Salman Rushdie, I'm pretty sure the greatest source of atheism (other than science, bitches!) is the behaviour of muslims, followed by that of hindus.

Nope, that is the surce of born-again Christians... who then, in turn, are the source of new atheists.

I've bumped into this one before. It's mendacious because it is implying that the Bible prescribes all of these, when in actuality in most cases it is merely describing something done or that might be done, with no approval given.

Though I've often wondered what "Kill them with death" means....
