Some companies are 'stuck' remaining open in Russia because of franchising agreements.

Marks and Spencer, Burger King, and hotel groups Marriott and Accor are restricted by complex franchise deals preventing them from withdrawing.

The firms have outsourced the Russian businesses to third parties and do not own the operations bearing their name.

Together the firms have almost a thousand outlets still open in Russia.

I am only partly sympathetic. Knowing the fascist, mobster regime they effectively support, you would think that international brands would be more careful.

But they aren't. Apparently.

So Nestle....after 4 weeks has finally indicated it will limit product lines and sales to essential foods only.

Although to be blunt. I doubt if Ukranian families are even able to get Nestle products as Russia continues to bomb the shit out of them so I really don't care if Russian families have to do without.
