I am Divine

Has anybody watched the documentary "I am Divine" on Netflix? Sad to see that she died so young. Never knew she had a music career as well. I guess I only knew of her from her dog shit eating scene in Pink Flamingos.

Just watched it. Very entertaining I thought. Especially the part about him and Leo Ford having a relationship. I like his music for the camp factor.

yes, very campy. would have loved to see her perform live. I thought it was interesting that she was gonna be in Married with Children just before she died. That would have been hilarious! In that video, she looks a lot like Delta Burke. lol
 
The Film Society to Present Complete John Waters Retrospective in September

Get ready for some of the "filthiest people alive" heading once again to the big screen. The Film Society of Lincoln Center will celebrate legendary director and personality John Waters's five decades in filmmaking with a complete retrospective, the first in the United States. The event, titled Fifty Years of John Waters: How Much Can You Take?, will be comprised of his 12 features, including Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble, Polyester, Hairspray, Serial Mom, and his first two, Mondo Trasho and Multiple Maniacs, which introduced the world to his iconic muse Divine (Harris Glenn Milstead). The series will kick off with a special opening-night presentation of Female Trouble (1974) followed by a discussion with John Waters and critic J. Hoberman. That same evening, Waters will introduce his 1994 feature, Serial Mom.

I would like to see this documentary. Unfortunately, I don't have Netflix. I guess I will have to wait for the DVD.I liked him in John Waters movies. It's a shame that John Waters has stopped making movies.
