Saw Django yesterday and was very impressed.
Brilliant performances all round, particularly from Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L Jackson and Leonardo DiCaprio (the sheer malice, sadism and villainy on the part of the Jackson and DiCaprio were astounding).
Ironic too that while the language and the action seemed spectacularly way over the top (but in a good, Tarantino way), the casual viciousness of the treatment of the slaves seemed all too real (that there are still apologists and celebrators of slavery boggles the mind).
It will make you laugh out loud, weep and want to cheer, partuclarly when certain individuals get their well-deserved comeuppance.
