I have a bar I go to every Friday night. I've been going there for years and know quite a few people in there. It's a nice mix of people, from 20-something's to 60-something's and it's a place I'm comfortable going. I shoot pool, it's a favorite 'hobby' of mine, I've been shooting pool for years. I've played in tournaments as well.

Just wondering what you all do on weekends (or even during the week) if you've got a special place you like to go and what it's like.

Yer, I try to get out on the weekends, I go to my local pub sometimes during the week and play pool as well. It's good to get out with my mates and catch up with the weeks gossip :P
 
I love shooting pool. I've been shooting pool since I was a kid, my dad taught me because we had a billiards and game room in the house I grew up in. Been fascinated with it ever since.

Nice to see others that shoot pool as well :)
 
Yep, I have a bar I frequent, I know most of the staff and regulars, it's a nice place to go relax, listen to music, and see some friendly faces.
 
hey there! i usually go out on the weekends with my friends. usually, we go for drinks (i have 1 or 2, everyone else has gallons) then go dancing if it's friday
 
I love to dance. If I hear a particular song, I'll just start moving, even if I'm just standing at the bar. Especially when I hear Nine Inch Nails. The song Closer makes me go into another world somewhere, hehe.

And I agree with 190E, I love having a place to go, away from the regular b.s. of life, where I can just get lost somewhere else and be around people that are trying to enjoy the same things.
 
I don't like to go places alone :( so I usually don't go anywhere
 
The place I go to is a mix, but I'd say it's probably 80% straight. There are a couple of gay guys that go in there (two of them REALLY cute, but taken) and there are also a few lesbians. But for the most part it's just your average place where people go to have a good time regardless of who and what they are.

The two gay couples that go in there (the regulars, that is, others come in but try not to be too obvious, sadly) are nice guys, but I think they're afraid to be themselves, for some reason. I saw them lean to each other one night to kiss and then they woke up and realized they were in a bar and stopped. I think that kinda sucks.

Now, there is one place I go to on occasion where nobody cares who you are and everybody loves everybody. It's the coolest place, filled mostly with gay men, drag queens, etc. I love that place. It's big, has a cool dance floor and over by one of the bars (there's like 4 bars in this place) there's a row of couches up on a raised platform that have red and purple lights underneath them, super cozy. It's where couples go to play kissyface and people that have just met each other go to talk, things like that. There's one guy that hangs out there - has anyone ever seen the movie Stargate? Jaye Davidson that plays Ra? There's a guy that hangs in this bar that could be his twin, he's absolutely freakin beautiful. He's got the long hair and everything. And boy does he have the 'tude going on. But he's gorgeous. I love watching him dance.
 
I spend my my friday nights watching anime... usually alone but sometimes i have company... my weekends are gerally the same as fridays but without the anime...

I have a pretty minimal social life.. even when i wanna go out I tend to never find anyone to go with.. and I'm rarely if ever invited out... but when i do go out.. i have a blast
 
Nope, I do not shoot pool.

Gossip is fine for up to 5 min.

I go out whenever both my usually busy schedule permits me to do so and I feel like going out.

Yup, I go out, I cruise for sex and I get lucky very often.

Usually go out every weekend with friends, a date, or something. Lately it has been banquets at conferences (blah!) But I have managed to sneak away after the banquet and visit the gay clubs (San Diego, San Antonio, Ft. Lauderdale....)

I love to go out and meet people. I have quite a few guys that enjoy going out and dancing (which I love to do). I find that dancing is particularly good cardio and since I have always hated long-distance running, I would do it every day if I could!

During the day, I have been trying to take in one spot in DC when I'm here on a weekend; doesn't always work and by the time I see just a few spots, the displays and exhibits change and I have to start over!
 
I go out but just to random places each time. The peeps I go with and me don't have any certain place we prefer to go to (yet).
 
Friday I'm too tired after a long week. Saturday I can't decide what to do so I stay home. Sunday is off limits cos Monday is workday again:(
 
every weekend that i can i like to get out... when i lived in CA i would be sure to get out every friday night since i worked saturday and sunday... now i don't neccessarily work both so i just get out when i can and its all fun :)
 
Not ever weekend. I'm too old for the bar scene, plus it's cheaper to hit the beer store, hang out with some mates, and play alittle poker. Course since I'm playing poker with a bunch of straight guys who are already married or in the process of getting married...it's no wonder I'm still single! :D

I think for my 31st birthday I might have to go to London, Ontario and hit up a gay bar just so that I can say I've been to one....now to find a lucky straight friend that will go with me! :) Course I'm going to have to "protect them" cause you know us...we just crave to have a straight guy notch in our belt! :twisted: (or that's what they think anyways....man some ppl's children! #-o )
 
I usually go out every other weekend because I have my kids with me the other weekend. I usually go to Taboo a strip club here in Montreal where I would say I am a regular. I also usually go to one of the dance clubs as well Sky or Unity.
