Do any of you like to wear Hawaiian shirts?

My brother talked me into trying one. Now I love them. So comfy.

This wont cost me my gay card will it?

I thought gay guys wore Hawaiian shirts?

Well when I was around twelve I was so poor and I had like three shirts, one of them was a blue Hawaiian shirt that was made of very nice material. It was very comfy indeed, though I'd never wear one now.

^I bought two for my trips to California and Washington.

allall folk ware shirt haiwaii ten no one a figa ya wares
or ware a 1 upside down wot say no a hawii t shirt

or options many

thankyou

I like them, but I haven't worn one since years because I'm scared of the fashion police and internet ridicule  H&M currently has a polo shirt with a flowery Hawaiian print that I like.

This is what I wear while relaxing at home.

I don't understand why people think Hawaiian shirts are tacky.

If you mean those shirts like the one Big Gay Al of South Park wears, then no. Too cliché. :)

No, the material is awful looking and they often run long on me; I'd rather wear a plain color tee than a button up patterned mess made for a place I've never been and never had much interest in going to.

I don't like to wear bright, flashy clothes at all. Most of my clothes are very subdued. Not what you'd expect in a gay man's closet!

I don't get the wanna-go-there criterion. Are we to only like Jamaican/Cuban/French/Brazilian rhythms and songs if we want to visit the countries?

It was an aside, rather than the sole or even the main reason.

Nope, not a fan of them.

Perhaps it's because of the cliche of them, and the way they make the people who wear them look.

I got one in duty free in Gaborone Bots. years ago..said Made In Madagascar!

*ALWAYS* - and with blue jeans also "always."

I even wear them in January, in a blizzard (and, of course, under a heavy coat so people may not even see it).

I also don't change that behaviour when I visit foreign countries, either - recently wore Hawaiian shirts the entire time in Argentina and Uruguay, which probably made me "look like an American"...

I have a few real beauties...some over 25 years old and still looking great. Tommy Bahama made some great shirts in beuatiful fabrics about a decade or so ago....my favourites are the ones with a dark background and lots of yellows.
