Do gay guys discriminate against lesbians?

i'm just wondering? because i know gay guys can be racist. Just wonder if they too can discriminate based on sexuality.
 
Not really. . .gays and lesbians just kinda spend most of their lives hanging out with their own gender, in their own cliques.

It seems like the majority of gays are hateful towards bisexuals and transgendered people, though.

im bisexual, people just cant believe someone can like both.
 
Yeah, you even get notable gay icons like Dan Savage saying that everyone who claims to be bisexual when they're younger will wind up gay 10 years from now.
 
There was and still can be quite the split between gay men and lesbians. There was a time when gay meant both and I hope we get back to that someday. In some ways the split makes sense, but it's still unfortunate.

The stereotypes in the gay and lesbian population are quite comical when they get together, the gays femming it up while the lesbians are bitching it up. Stereotypes yes, but at the heart of the matter both are ditching at least some of the "standard" behavior and values of their own gender for the opposite. Therein lies the traditional gay-lesbian conflict, at least in my experience. Some gay guys roll their eyes at lesbians, some lesbians prefer to do mostly same sex socializing.

When the initial AIDS crisis hit at lot of the barriers drop because there was a huge effort by lesbians to become active in advocacy and care.
 
well from a situation i saw, this gay guy was like, " you butch piece of shit, go get laid you lesbo". i started to laugh because it was funny to see a feminine gay guy talking shit to a butch lesbian. The lesbian was like, "STFU or i'll make you my bitch". and then the gay guy was like, "you are not going to do shit, you ugly bitch. i bet you turned lesbian because no man wanted to be with you".i stood watching because a gay guy and a lesbian arguing is funny as hell. then the butch lesbian got closer to the gay dude and punched the shit out of him. then the feminine guy was like crying. i'm like wow then walked away
 
I dont, lesbians always seem to like me, but straight girls rarely do.

But in my heart of hearts........Im fine with men being with men.....but women being with women......I find.....that digusting......

I've seen a few stupid jokes directed at lesbians, but I don't think it's a general thing between gays and lesbians, just the usual obnoxious suspects. Just like some black people are racist, some gay people are homophobic. There are bad seeds in every group.

I see no problem with lesbians, I can even appreciate the beauty of two women doing it. Don't care for threesomes with a man involved, though.

Well, you should consider trying to change your feelings. And if you succeed, you can teach the straight people from whom you want acceptance to do the same.
 
a couple times when ive walked into certain lesbian dominated gay bars with some lesbian friends - the women all turn and look at you like your some kind of disease. my friends look at them and say get over it you bitches. LOL.. people need ot get over it . only time i might get antsy is when lesbians come into mens leather bars - and to top it off try to act like men .
 
I try not to categorically discriminate against any person or people based on gender, creed, or sexuality, but when I was waiting tables on the graveyard shift at a Denny's ... we all hated waiting on the lesbians, because they were rude, crude, inconsiderate, and never left a decent tip (sometimes, they'd leave a dollar for a $100+ meal).

Methinks it was just that particular crowd from that particular city ... or at least, I hope so.
 
Well, that do you mean by discriminate? Fire them from their jobs, evict them, don't allow then into gay bars?

I've never heard of anything like that happening.

There are certainly misogynistic gay men, but really, they don't like any women much at all.

I feel pretty confident in saying that there is no general hatred of lesbians among gay men.
 
I think it's difficult to make generalizations about people based on orientation without offending vast numbers of people.

Instead of trying to put people into a catagory and think for them based on your own homophobia, try to remember that each person is an individual.

This one is also quite offensive - who are you to speak for "the majority of gays".

Speak for yourself.

Don't pretend to speak for me - I am fully capable of speaking for myself.
 
If you read that piece he talked about a study that showed this result - it wasn't his opinion.

But let's take your version - does Dan Savage now speak for me and every other gay person?

*rolls eyes* I guess - any question is ok - but the premise "gay guys are racists" is completely offensive. Futher the answer to the question would also be offensive - unless someone answers it "all gay men do not think alike."
