Obviously there's more to you than what's on a standard resume. However, what you've listed is more than enough for a criminal to obtain a credit card in your name and it's more than enough for a homophobe to stalk you and murder you. At the very least, they could use this information to dig deeper into your life. You had previously posted your picture, and you've listed your city and state, now you listed your previous jobs and school locations. I have all of this info about you and I'm a complete stranger. Imagine what a criminal could do w/ it.

Stalk me? Columbus is a pretty big area if you ask me. You're saying anyone who posts where they work, live, and a picture (which is quite a few) is going to get stalked/murdered?

As for the CC thing, no. They need an address which companies match with records, a SS#, and a few other things they use to verify an identity. Plus I have Lifelock free because the state screw up and lost my SS# in a laptop. Anything that happens with my credit, I have to approve it first. :gogirl: ;)

I hope you've never thrown away a bank offer, CC statement, or utility bill without shreading it if you're that worried.

Just get a reply wanting another interview!

Still sucky, but we'll see what they pay compared to what the car wash place pays before I say yes to anything.

Iron Mountain is a very large records management company. Much better opportunity for advancement.

Not sure about the 70lbs lifting thing- ouch!

If they're flexible on your school schedule and they've got benefits... not a bad option.

To me the resume looks good in terms of job description.

(Just please leave any seizure-producing avatars or other graphics off the page!)

Atom, stop being silly. I never stated that anyone who posted that information would be murdered. Damn. I was trying to help ya. I'm a lawyer and we have these same cases all the time where criminals defrauded another person w/ this type of info. It's simple to do.

Hey.....Iron Mountain sounds great with good benefits and chance for advancement. I've seen their trucks etc allover the country. Could lead to something GOOD!

I hate interviews and always have (and thank goodness I'll never have to it again), but just be calm, take deep breaths and you'll be fine.

Let us know what happens!!

Ok, an update:

It was a job agency who I interviewed with. I passed a piss (drug) test (not surprisingly). They forwarded my resume to the asst. Mgr. position (11.25/hr). It was posted by googoocarwash.com because there is a new one around here that is opening up. She said she wasn't sure about benefits and such, I would have to ask them when I interviewed with them. But what they also did was take my interests and such and try to get me a job matching up with them! Sounds cool to me. She said they have been in contact trying to get jobs from a graphics design company, and she would let me know what happens. Also she had me do a type test. I type 66 WPM!

Now for the Iron Mountain job:

She also called me and asked me to review some videos about the company on their website. She said they pay was 10.25/hr. I looked at the videos on the website and it's the exact same thing I was doing at target, minus the parts I liked about Target like the customer service and the pay (10.50).

So I sent back this:
Hi ASDF, I am sorry to do this but I am having second thoughts about this job. I reviewed the videos on the website, and it seems I would be doing the same thing I did at Target. While I didn't mind that job too much, I also got to interact with customers which I enjoyed; I also got paid more per hour. Both of these aspects out of the job and I can imagine I would not like it very well. I will call ASDF2 at about 9AM tomorrow to inform him of this if I do not hear a reply from you. Sorry again.

I didn't wake until 10:30. Oops! !oops!!oops!

First thing you should do is get up in the morning;)
Think you could do much better working for the graphics design company, you rock at that stuff!:D

I'm looking at your response to them. Did you review that before you sent it? It could have used some proofreading and editing.
That may sound picky, but there are employers who see something that isn't smooth and literate English and mentally boot you down the list without even thinking about it.

Not really, I was turning them down. Why would I care about that? :D

it might be important because they might be willing to consider you for another positiion but given the content and context of your reply they might just say why bother?

are you aware that you are very defensive when people have made some very fine suggestions to assist you in this matter and you have "brushed" them off. if you are interested in people's opinions, and or views about what you are doing you might be more receptive to what they are saying to you.

if you doubt what i have said, just go back and read some of your responses to people who have offered you advice in this thread .

consider this an example of constructive criticisim and you are free to reject this also.:grrr::grrr:

Well, after I posted I realized I was kind of an ass to Alpha. But for the rest, I guess my feelings don't translate well to text. Or something....

Hi Adam,

i know i was a bit harsh in my comments to you but i was just trying to point out to you what was coming across in your postings and wanted you to be much more careful of what you wrote when it came to your job situations.

i know this is just the internet so one can be a bit more lax in what and how one writes. but for your job related writings it is important that you take time and effort to read over what you are submitting.

after all what you submit in writing is often what people will make their first impressions of you based upon what you write, so you want to present yourself in as positive a light and manner as possible.

it sounds as if this place you have applied to may have other work available they want to consider you for, so what ever communications you have with them try and let them see you best writing work you can do. there may be some real opportunities available here for you.

good luck and please do keep us posted about what is going on with the interview process and finding a new job.

oh and my the way, maybe a short note to alpha might be a nice thing to send - just a suggestion...|

regards,
