When we first met I told him not to play me, that was about the only fidelity discussion we've had.

Exactly. There's a clear hypocrisy here and the decisiont to keep this to himself seems even more selfish than his outside trysts.

Just for the record on the subject of fidelity - the way it works is "fidelity by default unless other arrangements are negotiated." You don't need a fidelity agreement - you get one automatically.

However, there are lots of people willing to open things up. But that is something that you have to specifically look for, or discuss in advance, because it is not the norm. (Unless you seek out a swingers' club, or can otherwise figure it out from the context.)
