Do str8 guys check out other guys?

I think that if any guy immediately starts assessing the threat potential of every random guy he meets, then he either has anger management issues, or some kind of deep-seated psychological trauma from maybe being in a war zone or something. I actually didn't believe it the first time I read it. Is this for real?

I get was Al-Kane is saying. It's not so much that one guy thinks another guy is going to try and attack them or pull out a knife. It's like this ego thing where one guy compares himself to the other guy to gain some approval within themselves like "i can take this guy in a fight" or "i know I'm better looking than this chump".

So you're saying that it began with simply glancing at men and the more you looked at them, the more you became attracted to them, while losing your attraction to women at the same time?

I still think that looking simply unlocked what was there all along. A person that was 98% straight would not have been changed in the least by all the looking in the world. -(©¿©)- Doc

I think long ago I was attracted to females and somewhere just after puberty, I began to look at my friends and men in a more sexual way.
There is a beauty and attraction to women and a beauty and attraction to men. They are, for me, entirely different and both very wonderful.

Honestly, I was thinking along the same lines, but I just wanted him to explain a little more in-depth, just in case I missed anything.

I'm bi, so I can't speak from my personal status, because, yes I do check out other guys and yes I do fantasize about them...

However, I do think that many str8 men check out other guys when the opportunity presents for comparison purposes...whether it's muscles, hair style, clothes, or whatever seems desirable about them. And, of course, any time my wife points out a guy that she think is hot, I start checking him out and asking specific questions...after all, by checking out this guy and seeing what she likes about him, I might be able to make myself more desirable to him...I would imagine that str8 guys have similar motivations....

yea in that first post, i did go into some extra detail, thats a mistake i often make when trying to make sure i get the full messege across,

i wouldnt say i came from a warzone but in the mid to late 90s when i went in the foster care system i did live a community where drive by's and dudes gettin jumped and what have were just accepted and treated as something to look out for because its gonna happen, few of my homeboys took shots and didnt make it, few took shots and came out alright, 3 homies ended up in wheelchairs.

but yea, on all the forums i post on i tend to just keep going until i have these long ass news article posts that make the reader wanna excercise that scroll wheel.

I agree with Al Kane. Guys check each other out for comparison and it's a big testing of egos thing. Guys love the feeling that they can take another guy in a fight, and sometimes they will check a guy out to measure themselves up to him.

It's not sexual at all if the guy is really straight. It seems to be a big trend nowadays on this forum to manipulate the meaning of the word straight. Seems like you can have all the sex you want with men and still be considered straight. I believe everyone has atleast a little curiosity about their same sex but if a guy is fantasizing about being with a man on a regular basis, NO they aren't straight.

Al Kane doesn't exaggerate at all. On the contrary. What do you think sport competions are about? What do you think all those silly societal games between males are about? It's all about measuring and checking out how much each other's balls weigh. Checking out is permanent. It 's about choosing the best all males can worship without any question about themselves. After Zidane won the world cup, there were boys in my street singing: "Zidane a la plus grosse" (Zidane has the fattest dick). In gangs the leader is always somebody all members worship and even if they are str8, there is always a very strong sexual connatation in that worshipping. Men are in bad need to find somebody superior to them and eagerly check each other out to find the one to worship.
