They eat the stomach contents of the herbivores they kill. Cats are well-known for chewing on grass and other plant matter. Just look at catnip, they evolved to love it for a reason. My cat Lincoln will eat a blueberry or two on occasion. My aunt used to have a cat that even loved tomato juice. I read somewhere once that stated cats are only 90% carnivorous, with dogs being even less.

The old ancient man (siamese kitteh) in our family just turned 16 today, still has most of his teeth and LOVES to nom on cobs of corn, he just goes mental for it.

Cats and corn seem to be a popular thing too.

I thought the act of eating grass (not plants) by dogs and cats was a method of inducing vomiting, well from watching my animals over the last decade its seemed that way.

corn kittehs!

Maybe he's suggesting that if we all smoked grass, we'd think we were living forever.

:rotflmao:

Yes.

Well, sometimes our deaths are just another daily result from the great genetic and behavioural gamble called "natural selection."

As humans we may be unique on this planet in understanding the mechanism of natural selection. But even other animals will often promote behaviour amongst their kin designed to thwart death and serve reproduction. And even other animals will sometimes invite natural selection to do its job at the earliest opportunity. The weakest of mind or limb are not always offered safe harbour by the rest.

So...umm....about that idea of surviving off the waves and the sunlight....

The premise is correct but misplaced...somehow

just next time, when someone suicides don't even wonder what was wrong with that person but ask yourself what's wrong in the world we live in, cos what we are doing nowdays is a slow suicide over time.
I think the majority knows vegetables fruit etc is the best food, but yet we still promote processed, sweetened stuff and meat products. Bcos of what, money? So what's money good for in the end when u'r unable to run, u have cancer and no chemotherapy in the world will heal you completley? To fullfil our egos, must be real dumb egos to want a painful life :D

Also what looks more appealing to you, or let me put it this way. If u had those 3 options to bandage an open wound. Which of the following materials would you choose from?

Just in case you're wondering how long it takes for someone to die via morphine, both my parents had end stage kidney failure.

My dad had morphine administered and he died within 24 hours.

My mum was given morphine, and she lasted a week before breathing her last.

Both were eased out of their pain. Quality of life to the end in palliative care means that the patient should not needlessly suffer pain, when there are different pain control drugs available to ease their last days and hours...

2 of my aunts were given Morphine to ease their pain and they died. I learned early on that Morphine means death is around the corner..

My friends cousin has a HUGE Tumor growing inside her Kidneys and when the Doctors opened her up they immediately sewed her back up and refused to operate..She's back home using Morphine packs to ease the excruciating pain..

I wish people would ask Doctors more questions and go look up Medicines online to educate themselves. A lot of people don't realize when their relatives/friends are given Morphine they're dying...

I eat 80-85% vegetarian. However I have started eating more meat since its a much easier source of easily obtained protein.

While there is plenty of protein in veggies, legumes etc, from my understanding the body uses the protein in meats much quicker and easier than in plants.

I love veggies and legumes though, couldn't live without them. But I also do love a good steak, fish or poultry dish.

Big marbled porterhouse steak, cooked medium with just seasalt and course ground pepper.

Nice and crusty on the outside, pink and melts in your mouth from the inside, makes you salivate.

I NEVER used to like fat on meat, until I explored my passion for cooking more.

WRT Morphine, it is a poision with pain killing properties. Too much kills but when in small doses can bring relief. If administered by a properly trained person, it can help relieve pain such as in recovery from an accident where the patient is likely to survive. Just because sometimes it induces death does not mean it is a bad thing if it can ease their suffering.
