We are omnivores. We evolved as critters that eat both meat and plant. We also evolved to eat high-energy foods.
Horses eat grass because they eat much of the time. They don't have to have high-energy foods, because they eat a huge volume. If you want a diet like a horse, be prepared to spend six hours a day eating -- or more, because our digestive systems aren't adapted for drawing nutrients from such things (if it's high in cellulose, we can't use it well).
Just because something has a lot of nutrients in it doesn't mean our digestive systems can get those nutrients out of it.
Your final statement, about the sun, nearly convinces me you haven't had any science past the fifth grade. I'm going to ask a mod to check into whether you're actually old enough to be on this site.
i know, it's hard to understand the things i am saying, but if you think about it it's pretty simple.
they don't teach this in school
and yeah, i agree. if we want more nutrition from meat, we better be eating the whole animals, all the organs. but i'd prefer grass O_O
