Do we choose our sexual orientation? Of course not!

I hadn't read that before, so thanks for posting the link. It reviewed the knowledge we already had in a clear and concise manner. I don't know how reliable the author is, but he gave his references at the end, although I'm not in a position to vouch for or against his comments on social matters.
 
I think he is very reliable. He has a book out and has written many articles for the new york times. Here is his website.

It basically states that conservatives should accept that gay people don't choose their sexuality and it is in their genes, because if they do, then they will be one step closer to finding a "cure" for it, and to eliminate any offspring of the future of being gay. That would just be sick and wrong to me. That's why a part of me wishes that they would find a gene or something biologically, so conservatives could just shut the hell up and see that we are normal, but a part of me wishes that they won't because conservatives will use this discovery to eliminate the "gay gene" before the offspring is born. To me I feel like we're damned if they do or we're damned if they don't. It makes me really sad.
 
Of course we do! I willingly chose to belong to a group that is hated, ostracized, discriminated against and even legislated against! Who wouldn't want to belong to a group like that!?

Because I'm a straight chick that is quite fond of dicks.....REAL ones, not imitation. [-X :p:p:p:p

And I can't "choose" to be gay anymore than you can "choose" to be straight. ;)
