Hi Guys

As I have mentioned in a previous post - I have a new boyfriend and we have been going out for the past two and half months and we have three songs that are now "our" songs and wondered if any of you have them as well

The first song was Better Life by Keith Urban and the words meant so much to me that I played the song for him right away and now he is starting to like some country music.

A month into the relationship one night he came over and we were watching episodes of Heroes - an awesome show if you haven't watched it yet and after we watched a few of them he said well I have a song for you - he said how much he loved cuddling with me and so he played the song and the song Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol began to play and the words once again touched me and will forever be our song.

The latest song has to do with a dance that he and I went to and he asked me to dance in front of all of these straight couples - we were the only gay couple that was there and they played At Last by Etta James a true classic song with the man I love - it was amazing

Looking forward to hear about your songs....

:-) :D :-) (*8*)

Oddly enough THIS is the song that brought us together, so although it's a rahter peculiar love song.. it's ours.

"Our Song " , the thing that will always remind you of a period/person in your life who brought you joy and happiness.....

Then when you break up , the song that brings you heartache and sorrow !! lol........ oh yeah sorry... here goes...

Such a nice concept , maybe not so well thought out...lol

The songs for my b/f and me , the first song was " shower me with kisses " but Kele Le Roc .. still reminds me of the first time i heard it with him at a bar and since then every time i hear it takes me back to that amazing night when things where simpler and the road ahead was full of unexplored mystery... lol ..... :O)

Our song now is " Can't take my eyes off you " by the Communards. The words are so true to how i feel abou him .. and that is our song. Will ALWAYS remind me of the most amazing 12 months of my life so far..... :O)

I try not to let a song remind me of or signify a person.

I like songs that bring me back to a moment in time or remind me how good/bad I once felt.

It makes it a lot easier when I listen to the radio.

Seether- The Gift. It's not "our" song, but rather one that reminds me of my ex as I used to listen to it all the time while thinking of him. It brings back too many feelings so I can't listen to it anymore.

Well, since hearing Kelly Clarkson's "Since You've Been Gone" I've decided that it's my theme song for my previous break up. So maybe it's not OUR song, but it's what works for me. LOL.

Haha, that's the same as me. So unoriginal! ;P

I don't think we had a song together...though we both liked acting goofy to Traveling by Hikaru Utada.

Me and my what? Surely you jest about that matter do you not? No one, and i mean no one would ever want to carry that "label" from me, not if they knew what was good for their health.:spank: :spank:

as the local village idiot i can definitely say that with great confidence and truth - ouch, that hurt.](*,) ](*,)

As for a love song, their are only two of them worth any ones time.. "Send in the Clowns" - from "A Little Night Music" - Stephen Sondheim along with this one:

The Musical: "Follies" - Stephen Sondheim

The Song: "Losing My Mind"

LOSING MY MIND

SALLY:

The sun comes up,
I chink about you.
The coffee cup,
I think about you.
I want you so,
It's like I'm losing my mind.
The morning ends,
I think about you.
I talk to friends,
I think about you.
And do they know?
It's like I'm losing my mind.

All afternoon,
Doing every little chore,
The thought of you stays bright.
Sometimes I stand
In the middle of the floor,
Not going left,
Not going right.
I dim the lights
And think about you,
Spend sleepless nights
To think about you.
You said you loved me,
Or were you just being kind?
Or am I losing my mind?
I want you so,
It's like I'm losing my mind.
Does no one know?
It's like I'm losing my mind.

All afternoon,
Doing every little chore,
The thought of you stays bright.
Sometimes I stand
In the middle of the floor,
Not going left,
Not going right.
I dim the lights
And think about you,
Spend sleepless nights
To think about you.
You said you loved me,
Or were you just being kind!
Or am I losing my mind?

The Love Cats. t's the first song he gave me as a gift, as in "here - listen to this". It was a cover by Katie Melua and Jamie Cullum from the Brit Awards, but both versions are regarded as our song.

One for us:

Stephin Merritts "Sweet Lovin Man"

Sweet-Lovin' Man
There's an hour of sunshine
for a million years of rain

But somehow that always seems to be enough
When love falls from the sky
nobody ever asks why
You just take it or you leave it
Where it was

But there's just one kind of love
you can spend your life dreaming of
For the love of a sweet-lovin' man

Some have traveled far and wide
some have given up and died
For the love of a sweet-lovin' man

some have broken down and cried
some have turned to dust inside
but I'll stay right here and hide
in the arms of my sweet-lovin' man.

Until you've had sweet lovin'
there's no lovin' worth the name
but you can go blind
from crying all the time
and who said life was easy
and who said a man was fair
Well I wish you well
but keep your paws off mine
You can't buy one at the mall
but he'll come if you just call.

In the arms of my sweet-lovin' man
In the arms of my sweet-lovin' man

*There are TONS of great music out there for lovers to respond to and make love to....(*8*) (*8*)

Not really -- and that's kind of surprising because we both love music. Oh, there are songs that remind Brian of me and vice-versa. But to actually say, "Oh, they're playing our song," no.

Brian once made up a little song (ditty) about me, so I'll go with that one.

A Whiter Shade of Pale by Procul Harum was the first slow dance we had the night we met. That was March 15, 1968. I still ask hubby if he wants to dance when it comes on the radio.(*8*)

I don't have a song for my current bf, but I DO have a song for all my exes:

"Not Ready to Make Nice" by the Dixie Chicks
