If you met this guy, and found him really attractive, would you a) encourage him to get bigger, cos it turned you on more, or b) tell him to back off on the workout? I'm not sure myself. I do think he's really hot (i like the furry muscles:D), and i think i'd tell him to stop and try to see himself properly. I doubt its that easy though. Personally, I'd love to be that big.
Anyway, what would you do? Do you think bigorexia exists?

Love his accent. :-)

I think he looked better about 10 years ago. Not because of aging; just because he bulked up so much. Neither super-bulky nor super-twiggy do anything for me.

And, whether I liked muscles or not, it would be cruel to encourage this guy by playing up his fears. That's just contributing to the disease. Yuk.

It exists alright. You see guys in the gym like that everyday, never satisfied with their bodies.

They do nothing for me, I feel a bit sorry for them but I'm not in a position to speak with them about their compulsion to work out, nor do I really want to.

I love that guy. Would like to do him. Yeah, I guess it exists, but that's ok.

Saw this a few months ago (and saved it to my harddisk *|* ). Like they mention anorexia, I can very well imagine that the opposite exists.

Though "bigorexia" is a stupid name. Just because the english language is common nowadays you don't hear something like "thinorexia" either.

i like his accent, too...

did he shave his body hair before he became obsessed with bodybuilding....

or is the hair the result of supplements and steroids?

Yeah that was a  for me too. And to hear their "expert" using that word!

Anyway, this guy doesn't look all that freakishly big to me. I was expecting something much worse. He just looks like a typical bodybuilder, many of whom probably have similar issues.

Except of course that he doesn't shave his chest or rub himself all over with baby oil. Which makes him much hotter. Now if only he'd get rid of that dorky looking haircut...

Any more infos on Ken Clarke? *|*

Colt needs to take this guy under contract.

I read something in Gay times a while back about bigorexia, and apparently its rife among gay men, coz society either sees us as twinks, queens or muscle marys. If you're not a twink or a queen, then where else do you fit?

I don't see the point of getting that big, and have never found hypermorphic bodybuilders particularly attractive; and I find it terribly sad that he doesn't have a realistic view of himself. Any kind of dysmorphic disorder is sad to me. I rather dislike my body and always have, but I at least have a clear and realistic view of it.

But if someone was happy with himself and just enjoyed the whole thing, if he was doing it for fun rather than to satisfy some dim compulsion, then I wouldn't encourage him to do anything different at all.

Something I've noticed over the years about such men, though: they always seem to have relatively skinny legs. Especially at the gym, I see these guys with immense torsos on top of little chicken legs, and I find it worrisome. Why do you suppose that is?

Yes, it exists. I can't believe this term did not even exist in the psychological world of studies until fairly recently. I'm still not sure if this is even a formal term, even though I've heard it in some of my previous classes. I guess no one thought that someone would want to get big many years ago?
