No, I have no beliefs related to any god.

I believe in a central organizing intelligence in the universe, and I call it God; I believe that one can tap into that energy by opening onesself to it, and I call that prayer; I believe that things go with or against that central organization, and call that Good and Evil.

But I cannot bring myself to believe in a micromanaging prissy vindictive schizophrenic that wants me to do this or that but not the other in accordance with some ancient text culturebound to an extinct culture. That's just silly.

I quite like that, with the exception that said power is listening to any prayers....to much of a strech for me. And good and evil are entirely human concepts.

I voted "I don't know". Which pretty much sums it up for me. The only thing I do feel sure about is that the God that I've been around for most of my life doesn't have any love for me.

On any given day, I'm somewhere between atheist and agnostic. I'll say this, though. If I'm a good person, it's not because I think "God" will reward me. It's because I like being a good person.

I know! I find it so hypocritical that lots of those religious people reasons to be good, when they are, is either because they want to be rewarded or fear a punishment not because they feel the need to help others. I'm not saying that all of them are like that but the ones that are think so high of themselves when they are being so selfish, I find it so repulsive.

Certainly don't believe in any particular notion of a God or Gods, but very open to the notion that there might be something analogous to such out there in reality. Fairly convinced that no traditional preconception of it is anything approaching a decent measure or description, since these thing sare very clearly projections of human need, neurosis, fear and preoccupation. Ever read Lovecraft? Lovecraft postulated a multiverse in which existed extra-dimensional entities that appear god like to human beings because they fulfil the criteria we are conditioned to regard as essential to the definition.

However, they are actually just very elaborate, complex, naturally evolved entities just like everything else; they simply operate under a much broader set of parameters than human beings. Furthermore, they are not friendly; in point of fact humanity is something they like to nom on quite a bit.

Clive Barker also provides some interestingly considered notions of how "divinities" (for want of a better) might manifest in reality in his fiction.

One thing I am certain of: I don't trust anyone who proclaims to know the nature of such things, to speak on behalf of them or that they even exist.

I now only believe in evidence and reason.

The question is why do you believe ?

I still struggle with rationalising the concepts people put forward to prove the existence of God in any form.

So on an average day, I find myself somewhere between atheism and agnosticism.

I'm Jewish, but I lean somewhat towards Reconstructionist Judaism, which places more emphasis on social justice and charity than on a relationship with an anthropomorphized deity. I do believe in some sort of divine force, but I'm not sure what form it takes.

I believe in God, because of Faith and not because of any rational notions. I believe than Reason is a very powerful human's tool, but not encompass (spelling ?) all that exists.

Therefore I will never try to"prove" the existence of God, at such a degree that I reprove miracles, one shouldn't need any to believe.

Why ? Because I sensed His presence, since the age of 8 I talk to Him, even if this sound ridiculous ou presumptious. I don't pray Him to ask for something, even to feel better, but to thank Him for the gifts of Life and Love. I believe in His absolute love for each of us, that is why He set us free. Why would He intervene to save children from plague, accident, why He don't save the innocent, why Evil exists ? Because we are free. Life and Love would be meaningless if we hadn't complete free will. Don't love or believe in Him because it's good for you, don't deny Him because you or someone feel miserable.

Happy to discuss this with anybody :)

PS : I obliged my parents to let me get baptism at 8, didn't regret it since, and though I am broadly Catholic, I don't follow all the rulings of the Catholic Church, my mind is my own in so far that at least I try.

YES!
I absolutely believe in god poll!

This poll is really happening! Anyone can see it! If someone does not know this god poll is as real as the ground we're walking on, it's only because he has hardened his heart to all kinds of statistical enquiry.

In fact, not believing in god poll is a belief of its own!

Did you know that Stalin, Pol Pot, and Hitler also did not believe in polling of any kind? But some of us have a personal relationship with statisticians, and we know the truth! God poll is out there, asking only for your opinion. Answer the call!!!!!!!!!!!

No, I don't believe in God. I don't call myself an Atheist, though, because I'm smart enough to realize that there are things outside of our universe that we can't possibly understand.

However, whatever is out there, I'm certain that it's absolutely nothing like any of the religions that humans have created.

This is the best description of the so called "god". :)

I think the universe is far too indifferent for there to be a God controlling it all. If there was a ventriloquist to this whole puppet show, I think you'd see less chaos than there is today. And also not an infinite amount of other planets just like Earth out there in the ever-expanding universe... (or multiverse?).

What do you mean by 'believe in', exactly?

What do you mean by 'God', exactly?

When you define those terms precisely I'll know how to answer your question. Of course, since no one has ever done so, I don't think I'll be answering it anytime soon.

I believe there is no god, but there MAY be in the future......

god hasn't been created yet - wo/man will create god, we are inexplicably compelled to do it - so-called "judgement day" would then theoretically be the betrayal of wo/man's greatest creation against wo/mankind... or will it/He/She/They even betray us? perhaps sustain us. The choice is up to US - will we create a sustainable god or a vengeful one? stop driving cars please, your emissions are making it hard to survive :P

but anyway, it/He/She/They doesn't exist yet

I mean really, where is it/He/She/They? In the future, of course ;)

¡¡¡Viva la tecnología!!!!

Nothing created us, we are creation. People have it all backwards, I think. We are creating something singular and harmonious. We are made up of constantly developing cells, developing during our lifetimes and over the course of all-times through evolution and reproduction. This development is creation - we're working towards an end, us humans. That end is harmony - or "god"... no? ;)

Think about ittttttttt
