  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Do you believe what you see or what others tell you you saw?

Remember Neil, Most on here believe that the God you believe in is a conspiracy too, so don't be too judgy. And yes, it is exactly the same, you can't prove his existence either.

You are absolutely unbelievable. You demand evidence. We give it to you, and more. You don't even bother to consider it let alone look at it.

And then you call me judgemental.

By the way, Mikey, the Dubai fire was a 'shell' fire. It was the outside of the building which was flammable, and that's why such a small fire became such an inferno in a matter of minutes.

If you're going to provide some evidence, at least make it relevant. You continuously consider conspiracy 'theory' as conspiracy 'fact'. Instead of demanding that we answer questions which have not been answered, try debunking our evidence with facts of your own instead of more conspiracy theories.

By the way, do you believe this nonsense, too?

Well, The Manhattan Project was kept pretty hush hush and that involved tens of thousands of people and three foreign powers, but that's neither here nor there (for now).

Ok, so we agree that WTC 7 came down on 9/11. We also agree that it takes many months of expert preparation to make such a large building come down in a controlled setting.

Visual evidence and testimony from other renowned demolition experts, as well as the admission from the leaseholder tells us that the building in question was deliberately "pulled" for safety reasons. We all watched this live on TV. This is a fact and is not debatable.

So how can this all happen if it wasn't pre planned?

And by the way, you may wanna check out Operation Northwoods .

I'm genuinely curious as to why a cancuk gives two shits about the goings on in 'Murrica. Shouldn't you be getting ready to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks with your hockey buddies?

Oh my!! That was BRILLIANT! Only Neanderthals believe that we actually went to the moon. Even my uni professor knew we didn't go, and that was 20+ years go.
Uh, hate to burst your bubble. But we did go to the moon.

I suppose that you believe this too.

Really ? Only three steel framed sky scrapers in history have ever collapsed from the heat of fire, and all those occurred on 9/11/01. None since either.
yet never collapsed. WTC 1 and WTC 2 supposedly collapsed due to the extremely high temperatures of burning jet fuel. Well, there was no jet fuel in WTC 7 (according to the official investigation), just regular combustible materials found in any office, yet it burned at tempatures high enough to make it collapse? But wait, it gets better...

And once again, we're back to your fundamental ignorance and refusal to accept the factual evidence.

It is clear that you don't understand the behaviour of materials or structures and have never bothered to actually read anything other than the bong induced ravings of the know-nothings who populate the conspiracy websites you frequent.

One more time.

Steel deforms at very low temperatures. The deformation of steel will lead to failure of joints and connections. The failure of connections will lead to collapse of horizontal and vertical members. The failure of members will lead to a cascading failure.
Building 7 was hit by huge chunks of WTC2 when it fell. This ignited fires on multiple floors. Sprayed fireproofing on steel is usually only applied for a maximum of 2 hours protection in a sprinkled building.

But hang onto your conspiracy theories.

They make you look ridiculous.

But looking ridiculous never seems to bother you.

After a certain point, the temptation arises to start feeding the paranoia, and then to sit back and wait for the men with the nets and the tranquilliser harpoons to arrive.

When the plane hit the Pentagon, its wings didn't go through the building.

^ You are right. And frankly I don't really care if the Mikeys want to band together and fap away to the thrill of thinking that the New World Order is behind all major cataclysmic events while they fashion themselves body armour out of tin foil.

But I think that rational, sane and intelligent people have an obligation to counter the ravings of the conspiracy theorists who all too often manufacture these types of tales to foment race hate or to encourage anarchy for the simple purpose of the feeling of power it gives them.

For those who lap up the delusional fantasies, it can often represent a gradual and practised detachment from reality until they begin to think that everything bad that happens in their personal life is also the result of some conspiracy. It is a kind of cushion for their impotence and inability to act....by blaming it all on some sinister plot...they are able to cope with their own inability to control events.

There is a standard profile for many of the conspiracy nuts.....they tend to hide in basements, feel that the world is out to get them...create huge dramas out of the most ordinary of life events and have a limited intellectual range. They will refuse to read any factual evidence because they have a desperate need to cling to the notion that there are 'Powers that Be' who play them like puppets.

Paranoia is all in fun until the voices in the head get real.

As for the OP...I think the battle has been lost.

By the way...did you know that they never found any pieces of a plane in the Pentagon?

^ It's interesting that, like Telly, he gave us two options, and then goes to great lengths to ignore everything we say if it doesn't go along with his own choice. It's his MO. He demands proof and we give it to him. Then he counters with more and sometimes completely irrelevant theories. He demands that we answer unanswerable questions, yet doesn't question the garbage that's being poured into his brain. He believe what he's told to believe even after we prove to him how he has been deceived.

Oh, and he still mistakes 'conspiracy theory' with the contradictory 'conspiracy fact'.

Of course, he knows more than structural engineers and scientific and demolition and explosive experts.

It really becomes tiresome when he offers absolutely nothing to try to prove his theories.

^ It is a fairly typical MO.

In some cases, I'd call it out for trolling...but I've learned with the OP that he may be one of those I've known who is actually so lost inside a paranoid delusional world of conspiracy theories that he is incapable of accepting anything that counters the nonsense he has absorbed over the years. As has been pointed out earlier in the thread, for the paranoid conspiracy believers...everything is a win-win, they just keep pouring out more and more 'examples' while ignoring the facts that knock the theories down.

The most worrisome thing is that each of the conspiracy obsessed individuals that I have known personally were descending into acute dementia or schitzophrenia. It never ended well for them and their families.

One hopes that that isn't the case with the OP.

There's a great fear that people have of being the rube. If you plant yourself into the conspiracy theory, you can always wave away any evidence against it as "part of the cover-up", and you need never move your flag.

Or better yet, just study a bit on building implosions and you will understand the months and months of planning, preparation, and demolition which must precede bringing down a building. It's not something you can hide or 'sneak past' passers-by.

What always astounds me, is a person can't even get a blowjob in the Oval Office without the entire world finding out, when only 2 to 4 people total know about it. But somehow a faked moon landing and 9/11 happened, and no credible witness has ever stepped forward to say it was a fake, when THOUSANDS of people would have to be involved in a conspiracy theory like 9/11.

I'm quite serious when I say that the only people whom I've met that believe in conspiracy theories are off their meds / under-medicated, or just plain ignorant hicks. Either / or. Tomato / tomatoe.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner!!

Still, The popular mechanics article and the "scientists" on here fail to explain:

-The NORAD scrambled jets lie and the NORAD War games scheduled for that same day

-Eye witness reports from civilians, firefighters and police of multiple locations well below and before the point of impact.

-Pools of molten metal discovered under WTC 1,2, and 7 weeks after the incident (thermite was discovered in steel samples after the article was released.

-John Kerry admitted that the towers were brought down.

-Larry Silverstein netted more than $5 billion from insurance he increased just weeks before the incident.

-Steel from the WTC collapse, the most monumental crime scene in U.S. history, was wisked almost immediately to China and India.

The Popular Mechanics article is a proven joke. It was written by Benjamin Chertoff, senior researcher at Popular Mechanics, AND the cousin of Michael Chertoff, then Secretary of Homeland Security. Coincidence? Right! That article was bought and paid for by the US government. This fact alone negates the entire Popular Science explanation.

Give citations for each one of these and we'll blow them out of the water.

It is intellectually dishonest and sloppy not to give your sources.

It is one of the things that makes me doubt your claim of being a lawyer.

You thought nobody would notice, didn't you?

Of course, that makes us twice as wrong, right?

Honestly mikey, i have no beef with you at all, but don't you think that this obsession about what was clearly a terrorist attack, and not a controlled explosion has not been explained to you?

The science is just not there to support you. You have seen the plane crash into the tower, you have heard the mechanics of steel explained in great detail, yet you are still convinced this was a conspiracy. Why?
