Are there others who, like me, 'back out of' a post before clicking the 'submit' button because of the shit you're going to take if you post it?

Almost never. I usually think pretty well about what I'm gonna post before I post it. The "Lex" I put at the bottom of each post may seem kind of redundant - my name's over there on the left, after all - but me typing it reminds me that "my name will be attached to the above post". And I have to think if that's what I really want.

i censor myself everywhere in life

you have no idea

All the time.

About half the stuff that I write I never post ...yes, that's right, the rubbish that I do actually post really is the cream of the crop... #-o

Every now and then... when I don't think what I wrote is useful/a good representation of what I wanted to say.

It is not always about me.
Sometimes I click out because I do not want to bring shit and pain on any soul who could not bear it. Sometimes I click for other reasons. ..|

Yes, but after while, I start not to care about the shit coming my way. I will post if I know I can handle the shit thrown at me.

Even when you know there are people watching your every word and waiting to pounce? I have enough aggravation in my life. I don't need that kind of crap.

No f****n' way!

Actually yes. Mostly when I hit the reply button right away being full of emotions, then I proof-read my comment again and decide it's either without meaning or idiotic.

I stop and think before I post anything that might cause a lot of trouble. That doesn't stop me from making an ass of myself now and then.

No, i don't back out of a post often.

Typically, yes.

Today, no.

Yes, many times ](*,). I don't like confrontations, or as many call them on jub "purse fights". The last thing I need after a long day at work it to raise the ire of some numb skull. Other times I just feel bad and I don't want to offend anyone with a "reality check".

~me in the background ~ "Can't we all get along  "

No, the only time I censor myself is around very small children and thankfully there are none of those here.

One should push the envelope every chance they get, responses be damned!

With one very recent exception, I don't hold back to save someone's feelings, but I do re-read my posts before posting to make sure they're not pure crap.

Not really. I usually say what's on my mind. I do use the preview post button mainly to see how bad I've butchered the English language.
