again, I always thought high maintenance was someone who constantly needed to be told how good they are looking, who is always fishing for compliments either overtly ("how do I look?" asking the question every day) or covertly ("nothing I do is ever good enough" meaning please come and tell me how great I am for no reason other than I want someone to tell me how great I am) and gets pissy when people don't get the hint, generally rant and rave and exercise the right to be upset at every little thing, however insignificant, which or may not come their way and who basically expects the world to bend over backwards 24/7 to accommodate them.
I suppose in short, an attention whore.
