I have never understood the desire to consume alcohol. Why would you do it? What purpose does it serve? Of what benefit is it? Additionally, with too many, it results in detrimental behaviour.

It tastes good. Red wine has a positive effect on your circulatory system. I agree that shots and getting drunk is stupid unless you just turned 21, but at a social gathering it is nice.

Try corona with a pierce of lime in it. I agree that beer does not taste good, and I don't know why I like it.

Vodka with cranberry juice or a Long Island Iced Tea taste very good.

I prefer sweet drinks. I don't care much for dry wines.

I used to be a regular drinker and enjoyed it, but since the diabetes I'm down to an occasional bottle of lager or a glass of wine. I've only just started the process of finding out which ones have the least affect on me.

I never drink at social gatherings, unless it's a barbeque. For some reason, when ever I'm standing at a barbeque, I have to have a beer in my hand (hi@stereotype). I never drink to get drunk, I just enjoy very small amounts on very rare occasions.

No, becasue alcohol is a carcinogen, is bad for the organs and is nothing but empty calories, not to mention it tastes horrible unless it's drowned with soda or fruit juice.

Somebody needs to advise Belamo that what he is drinking at those
'social' gatherings is Second Hand Beer. Also that while drinking from
the spigot is considered rude, those were not spigots he was using
to drink from.

Seriously, one day I came to the conclusion that when I drank, I wasn't enjoying myself... I was just getting drunk. It happened very slowly - months/years. However, I still enjoy a ceremonial beer at the ball game, and sushi tastes mighty good with a cold Sapporo!

Personally,

A very healthy brace of Bloody Marys or Martinis and maybe

some edam with crisps by the pool and spa.......Heaven on earth.
