The mistake most people make is to exercise too hard; then they eventually get bored and come to see it as a chore. Choose a program that is challenging enough but not too hard, so you can stick with it. When you reach a point that you feel uncomfortable when you miss a workout you know you are hooked. Your reward is a healthy body; plus checking out the cute guys in the showers.

I only enjoy exercise when it's part of life. For instance, I really hate going to the gym, especially to lift weights, but if I have to lift heavy boxes for 4 hours to help someone move , then I love the feeling.

I think my problem with working out is that I don't feel accomplished afterwards. I need an immediate goal, not something long term like losing weight or defining muscle. Boring.

I need a bike.

I work out at home. I get to check myself out in the shower, which is OK, but I'm a bit over him by now. :)

I hate every second of it but, just like death and taxes, I accept it as a necessity of life. Thank God for mp3 players, when I get a good 20-30 songs downloaded, the minutes just fly by.

I'm amazed that the yes votes dramatically outnumber the no votes.

23 -16 is "dramatic"?

It seems dramatic to me. I'm no math wiz but I believe that's 7 more people who enjoy working out versus those who don't. It's a private poll, so you know folks aren't basing their answers on how they wish to be viewed. Considering the obesity problem we have in the U.S., the numbers seem dramatic. Perhaps it's just me. I really expected the majority to go the other way. Hmm...

Some may not particularly like the actual working out but checking out other guys, the steamroom, etc... probably make it enjoyable to them.

Uh, does that count? I mean, you could spend all day in the showers and not raise your heart rate. Well, unless you count the heart's pitter-patter from seeing a hot guy.

It's odd b/c some straight guys complain about gay guys looking around in the locker room and I always thought these heteros were being ridiculous and insecure. But, I guess some gay guys do feel free to sneak a peek or two.

I enjoy exercise. Both the act and the results. I don't enjoy going to the gym. I treat it like going to a public bathroom - it is unpleasant, unhygienic, smells bad, but it is sometimes necessary to go. I want to do my business and get out as quickly as possible AND I don't want to talk to anyone.

A peek or two? Even "straight" guys take a peek or two and many guys are exhibitionists. The worst are the "trolls" who linger around the locker room and showers for hours and blatantly eye fuck people. Most of them never even bother to hit the weights or the treadmill. They just head straight to the locker room.

Maybe they're all sizing one another up to see who's got the biggest dick. Maybe they all want to be looked at. Maybe they're all really gay and are just waiting for the right guy to come along and offer to suck their dicks. Hey, I'm on board. Women have been putting up w/ the ogling for years. Let the guys see what it's like for a change.

That wouldn't make me enjoy working out, but it would be entertaining.

I do

Even when I dont feel like going i still make it. The feeling afterwards is great and also the people I run into, overtime we have become friends, so say hi but do our own work outs etc.

I also enjoy my gym very much which is important. In the past , I have gone to gyms where i just didnt want to be par tof, after a few months or a year just moved elsewhere.

Yes and no, but my doctor told me to give up my gym membership.
