I'd like to think I've moved beyond the "possession" stage of sexuality. I know some people get off on it, but I'm not one of them.

I have done that because I believe it keeps wild animals out of our backyard. We live on the edge of a canyon in San Diego, and we have seen skunks, raccoons, opossums, a rattlesnake and there has been a coyote spotted in the canyon though I have not seen it in our yard. After the rattlesnake sighting I pissed in a line across the back end of the property. I do this once in a while, not on a regular schedule or anything. I don't really know if it stops any animals from coming in or not. But I don't think it can hurt, it might help deter them.

Yes, I do mark my territory. I leave fang marks on their necks.

Did it also stop men from coming into your house?

Nice.

Rattlesnake is a pit viper and depends on these heat seeking pits above the nostril in hunting over smell. But that flickering of the tongue as it moves along is gathering all sorts of information. You won't phase a reptile from its search for food. To do that you must remove the food source and places to seek refuge. Rodents in particular are the goal of the rattlesnake. But I doubt piss will scare away rodents however rats/mice are not stupid and they are very aware of different scents. Thus when baiting snare traps for killing rats you should always wear gloves because a rat will likely not touch bait with a human scent on it readily. They do have territories, and range that turf.

I piss in my back yard to save on the water use but if my male dogs are around as soon as I am done they come right to where I peed and mark their turf again before I walk away. I suspect a coyote would do the same.

I tried fox urine that I paid for to mark some of my gardens and keep squirrels from tearing things up. The theme to be achieved is the fox is a predator of the squirrel and squirrels are terrified of this. The fox piss smelled of course awful total failure, even worse when I had the $35.00 Fed EX fox pee in the tube and I tripped over a root where it ended up all over in my hair. It was embarrassing and many days to go away.

Thanks for the info... is there any kind of barrier that would stop a rattlesnake from entering the property? Like for example a line of broken glass on the ground or something like barbed wire laying on the ground? I have seen rattlesnakes on our property only 2 times in 30 years, but my neighbors report seeing them frequently, so they must be living nearby.

Geez, I probably mark my territory at least ten times a day. I thought that was what everyone did! You can't have some other man just coming over and taking your man. D: *hisses*
